Something about movies that I call "Desert Movies" that always seems to be good movies. No Country for Old Men, Hell or High Water, and Sicario are all good movies, and even though I have seen these movies from beginning to end, own both Sicario movies, I am still re watching clips from these movies on YT. Hell or High Water and No Country for Old Men are simple movies, but are good movies?? Maybe, it's because they're raw movies, no special effects, no bad acting, no computer helping out?? I think that what helps these three movies too, is that there are so many Big movies, and movies with Special Effects, that a lot of us get sick of those type of movies and just appreciate being able to sit down, relax, and just enjoy a simple straight forward movie. They really don't do anything "different", Hollywood has a thousand Simple movies, but these three are coming along at a good time. Appreciate YT giving No Country for Old Men free
more and more people are realizing that Israeli Mossad was connected to that assassination, not just Italian mob or every other culture but them. also, isn't it funny how having an American director and his "baggage" about the issue is not chosen to direct, but a chilean? hahahahahahahaha scam at work, thanks "princess", may the ticket sales give you more botox for your face, spy
Awwwwesome seeing these boys shootin the shit together! I freaking love this movie so much! I have replayed scenes so many times, on my screen and in my mind. I say the line, "Don't chase me, Chief," when I'm taking to myself, regularly. That's how I found this here gem. It came up after a clip of that line played. Thank-you, everyone, for doing this interview! ❤
It had to be an honor for these two young actors to work with Mr Bridges Jeff is the definition of class and will always be remembered as one of the greatest
Best scene in this movie: Margaret Bowman. When she enters the scene all the hard boys immediately submit to her authority. Superbly played by all actors.
I gotta admit, the first time I watched some of the movie, I turned it off. A few weeks later I watched it in the entirety. OUTSTANDING FILM, stunning acting, direction, plot, script. One of the most underrated films of the last 10 years. If its on ,I'll watch it, Bravo!
In my top 5 favorite movies….. didn’t get the recognition that it deserved……my favorite scene is at the T Bone steak cafe, “ what is it you don’t want?”
This movie resonated with me. I live in Dallas but travel frequently to visit relatives in Amarillo and Pampa, so the roads and towns in which the movie was filmed are very familiar to me. Over many years I have seen the towns dragged down by the country's all-for-the-rich economy, and I have seen the ways lives have changed as a result. One thing that the movie left out is the proliferation of roadside and front yard Christian crosses, a symptom, I believe, of despair in the residents' world. Most of the crosses are constructed of readily available well pipe, welded and painted white. It culminates in the 190 foot tall cross beside Interstate 40 near Groom, Texas. The movie taps into the same angst that erects the crosses, but it succeeds by giving the little guy a win for once.
Four Oscar nominations , including best picture, best supporting actor for Bridges, best original screenplay and best film editing. Not under rated at all.
@@9teenfifT8 This is a case of “Critically Acclaimed”……you know….by the professional critics, but not so much by the viewing public. Almost no one in my sphere went to see this movie. Their loss. I thought it was terrific.
I dunno, I would have said the same thing before finding out the accolades it won as well as it being the highest grossing indie film actually beating out The Witch. Speaking of, I'd love to know if Bridges ever got around to watching that movie and what he may have thought of it if he did. David Eggars really turned out to be one hell of a director specializing in some of the most surreal, fucked up kinda of films being made these days. But yeah, Hell Or High Water was riveting, taut, thrilling, suspenseful, engaging, and all the other critic words indicating praise. Great movie with one of the most awesome ending scenes of all time!
these 3 actors were perfectly cast for this movie. the only other movie that i can think of that was so well cast like this one was YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. 🚴
