Because it’s not a multiplayer match. Reaction time and speed are not as important in invasions but a one shot hit is! I wouldn’t use this thing if I were playing a multiplayer game mode where reaction time and speed is key. Edit: I mostly use the Mosin-Nagant for invasions now anyway. As far as the Kar98 goes, I don’t think I ever really lost any invasions due to how unwieldy it is, I just learned to deal with it. I only ever lost because my opponent played better!
Spy Academy is one of my favorite stages. It is a bit lumpy at parts if you have to go loud though. 🥂 was a good time watching yall do these. I laughed when yall were talking about mining around and inside the sniper tower.
Can you be more specific? I can't hear anything wrong with it, other than RU-vid now has a 'Stable Volume' option that is on by default that's making it 'louder' than it should be.
@@zylox_lacks_IQ I only noticed it because it sounded 'off' compared to how it was mixed. It basically makes everything the same volume by flattening the dynamic range for playback on phones and such devices that have low-range speakers.
@@anita6505 Yes it seems like a year. 😅. Hope to see you tomorrow again! @Duckwit: I really like your videos - really entertaining and you always playing fair. I don't want to advertise, but it would be an honor to see you on a Sniper saturday 19.00 british time at @burtonizer. I almost have a bit of a fetish to get my ass kicked. 😄
Poking around the corner was so much worse in se4, you only had to have your crosshair on top of the enemy to hit. In se5 its a bit different, not as easy to abuse
I've a challenge for you to try. Play missions loud as you have done in the past, only this time you can't get hurt in any way at all. If you are then you have to start the mission over. No saves. Good luck!
I find stealth games and their "lethal vs noon-lethal" amusing cause like, the effects of being knocked out like ya do in stealth games, also the effects of being choked for long enough to loose consciousness, will most likely lead to eventual death in far shorter a time then it would take for the mission to end and the op-for to return to the area off screen. so I end up not even caring about 'non-lethal' unless I am achievement hunting.
I don’t know if there are even any achievements for it, so it does feel somewhat pointless in this game. It feels like it was tacked on at the last minute. Non-lethal is something I really enjoy in Metal Gear Solid series because it adds to the challenge and fits perfectly into those games, but then it’s also executed so much better in those games because they are designed specifically to incorporate the option. They also have mechanics that mean to you have to deliberately make an effort to kill an enemy, where SE5 seems to like doing it for you. Shoot an enemy in a vehicle with non-lethal? He dies. Passively take down an enemy in stairs? He often will phase through and there’s a good chance he will die as a result. Certain objectives also require the assassination of certain targets. Even if you shoot the target in mission 9 (the final main campaign mission) with non-lethal, he dies, I guess because killing him from range is the only option. I hope that if they do continue non-lethal in future entries of the series that they will take it into consideration during the design phase and make it more rewarding to play non-lethal by fixing some of these issues, but honestly I’m not sure its very worthwhile at all in a game that has a heavy emphasis on gory X-ray cams and where shooting Nazis in the balls is a marketable feature. 😂
If I had a pound for every accidental kill Darth gets in a game, I'd be able to do the following: - Cure cancer - Fund the landing to mars - End poverty - End starvation - Donate 1 million to each of my family members, then say just kidding you get 10 million - satisfy those in the climate change movement by fixing it - Buy 33 speedboats and loan them - Buy a cruise -Buy a private jet - Buy ten of every car ever -Buy every business - Buy the entire United States UK South Africa - Make the entire water presence on earth plastic free - plant 1 million trees - And buy fucking Ready or Not
@@angryeliteultragree6329 He's been talking about it for ages and hasn't purchased it yet. He's waiting for a deal that will never come, while the rest of us have been playing it for months!
Haven't encountered most of the bugs that you guys have in this video, makes the game look a bit of a mess :D 28:00 I do know what happened there, @DarthStark you were the one that got the gold figure in the safe on the second floor right? The safe has got subsonic ammo as well and it seems to like to jump into your loadout if you so much as touch it. It's happened to me a few times while I'm fumbling for the gold figure and I don't notice until I go for my AP rounds and find them gone. P.S. Didn't know about the ammo in the custom pistol. Still want to know who got the figure in the safe.
Darth Stark's 'ammo in the custom pistol' explanation is correct, btw. He was watching his footage back as he was describing it, that's how he knew what happened. It was news to me, I didn't know some of the custom weapon pick-ups came with special ammo! The bugs only seem to affect enemies that have been passively subdued. My suspicion is that we're encountering a bug where when a soldier is woken, they instantly know our 'current' location for some reason. I think that's why there were multiple occasions where we would be 'spotted' without being in visual range of any enemies. I think its similar or related to the bug where snipers fire at you even if they can't see you and you are hundreds of meters away (that one only happens during invasions for some reason). I thought I'd seen pretty much all of the glitches/quirks in this game, but honestly I was also surprised by how 'broken' the game got when we were doing this!
hearing your missus shout "bollocks","Sh1t" and "Bast@rd" is one of many high points in this. 😁(edit:almost missed the pilot-related f-bomb as well haha)
this was good fun to watch, brings back memories ('94 for me as a final year undergrad). dunno why your other (non SE5) game uploads just don't get the views. Now awaiting your SE5 coop with the missus.
A lot of people only came here for the Axis Invasion stuff, which is fine. I do mix it up a bit and play loads of different types of games, old and new. There's more non-SE stuff coming, alonside more SE stuff from various games across the series. The missus doesn't do SE, though. We tried it a few years back but she doesn't like sniping!
On authentic plus ... when they spottet your location (on top of the hill, shoting down to the village an the camp), they come running from 200 meters to your position. Verry helpfull to save the game ... each minute.
One of the first times I played this, I took up position on the primo sniping spot on the hillside directly facing the villa. I was still trying to get to grips with the new sniping system after SE3, and I fired so many rounds at the villa that Schmidt himself eventually came all the way through the town and up to where I was to deal with me personally lol 😄
I was trying to play it carefully at least a bit! Stark thought the generator sound cover was constant so kept shooting even when it wasn't backfiring! The moments where I was getting my sneak on, loud rifle fire would ring out behind me alerting the AI. If you can't beat them, join them!
@@duckwit85 Ah yeah. I love trying to play stealthy, but when it kicks off, I just roll with it. SE can be at its best when it all goes to shit! This level is a great opener to the game, as you can pick and choose your approach, and retreat easily if it gets too hot. It's easy enough for noobs, and offers good long-range shooting opportunities for the more experienced, so there's a nice balance. I do think there was was a missed opportunity right at the end though - Karl should have had to hold the villa against reinforcements arriving below him in the village! It's such a perfect sniping position, but unless you've stealthed it all the way there, you've probably already killed most of the enemies by the time you arrive! Even on SE4 I wish they'd just kept pouring in more reinforcements, but the radioman (not on this level) often takes his sweet time to do so, and then you only get half a dozen enemies arriving...
I never play Authentic on SE4, as you can't zoom your scope. Better to play on Custom settings IMO. Set everything to hardest but keep scope & binos zoom!
Hi bro do you still play invasions? Im new to the game. But my Atlantic wall is rigged w explosives 😅😂 i left the whole town alive for the invader but outside of town its j me an my explosives. Its on SE5 Tho
Darthstark, a man who pronounces all his syllables perfectly, taking the piss out of Harry's posh accent . But in all seriousness, great stuff, you guys work well together in these videos. Very entertaining.
It’s more to do with the fact that Harry’s posh accent is oddly German, probably because he’s voiced by Klemens Koehring, a German voice actor putting in an upper-class English accent and honestly he does an amazing job, but it slips every few words and sounds odd. Darth Stark does have very clear diction although his accent isn’t posh. I’ve heard him doing a posh accent and Mr Koehring is better at it! 🤣
