That is the exact color I get if I just use Henna alone on my white hair (Lucille Ball red) LOL!! But I prefer chestnut so I use the 2-step henna. I love this brand its SO easy to apply (I thin it out to yougert consistency and put the henna in a plastic bottle w/nozzle. If you're hair dries while applying use distilled water in a fine mist spray bottle). I just wish I knew about this when I was younger :) The 2-step (to cover the grey) takes me about 7 hours from beginning to end but its well worth it! [I add plain yogert to my mixtures for conditioning purposes.]

I love Light Mountain henna. Dark Chocolate is my favorite, but have used Burgundy and Dark Brown as well. You can see my review on Amazon that shows the results I got with the Dark Chocolate
This is an excellent brand of henna. A word of advice; when starting out with henna it's best to check a handful of things starting with making sure one hasn't used any ingredients in hair products of various kinds as well as other dyes as one van potententially severely damage their hair.
Beautiful hair and great tips EXCEPT the microwaving of the water. Microwaved anything is so very bad for us and we're about to put it ON our heads. Instead, go to your local thrift shop and purchase/use a glass Corelle pot to heat up water on the stove. Happy henna y'all!!
Thank you so much for your informative feedback in your video.. I'm somewhat jealous of the products how can I get samples to try their products? You're a very beautiful lady and it looks like the products are well made and they're exactly what you're saying because I see the result. I can't wait try them myself. Awesome job thank you. Jesse thank you so much for this wonderful video I'm a natural redhead and I've decided to go henna because I need a little touch up here and there especially in the summertime when the Sun makes my hair a bit lighter and all those little tips from the heat to the metal to the hours you have to keep the color sitting is very informative for me. Also, you are straight to the point and you don't wander all over the place or repeat like other videos I'm glad I found you. I have the lightest red however I'm going to wait until I have a day off to do my hair since 3 and 1/2 hours to sit for the color to develop and then four for the actual application on your hair give or take some time depending on your test right.
Why is your hair shorter since you started henna? Is the henna breaking it off? I loved your really long hair without the bangs. I went years with bangs and so glad I finally grow them out.
Speaking as an X hairdresser who used to use Henna way back in the day you have some really good hints and tips here people seem to always overlook not letting metal touch henna, they also seem to overlook keeping warm both very important points if you want success, thanks for the great video I hope it reaches many people so they will have much better success
Question: Do I need to wait to condition with LMN Neutral Conditioner after getting highlights? If so, how many days do you recommend? (I always do a test section.) Also, I read somewhere I can add some LMN Neutral Conditioner power to my regular conditioner. Is this a recommended application for the Neutral Conditioner? THX! MY EXPERIENCE: I have used the light mountain natural neutral 3 times, for conditioning, and I love it! I have medium blonde hair and weave in lighter highlights (chemicalhighlights). My hair had gotten very damaged and brittle when my hairdresser over processed it. 😡 LMN Neutral did not change my color. However, my hair color looked more healthy and brilliant after each use. My ponytail is thicker and my hair is finally getting longer! 👏 I just love this stuff!
Thanks Jesse, love your hair! Thanks for the useful tips and information. I'm a natural redhead and returning to henna after my stylist quoted nearly $300 to touch up my roots! Just cannot afford that, especially in these weird times. I do like that it's a natural product and I don't have chemicals sitting on my scalp. And definitely henna is an effective conditioner. It's messy but worth it. Still experimenting but know I will hit upon the ultimate tint eventually. Rock on!
If I have darker ends (from henna as well) but, they do not fade. Will using the "Red" over them, make them red too? I've henna'd my hair for so many years, And my hair is very long, so my lengths stay much darker. Thanks@!
My hair is similar to yours! I am two years strong. I think it even makes it grow faster, (or at least the roots say so.) I used to mix mine with manic panic to get a deep wine color. I have let it fade to the natural henna red, and will be trying Light Mountain Auburn next.
