My Aunt and Uncle used to live right across the road where the completed tractors came out of the factory. some used to go to Shaw Packaging for export. For a country boy of 5 it was always a holiday I looked forward to and enjoyed. My uncle Frank worked in David Brown Transmissions in Huddersfield which I think is still there but I could well be wrong? Thanks for uploading the video, I have at long last been able to see what went on behind the walls! 😀
I could watch these videos all day. Also I found one of your playlist and its so good. I think you should consider adding Jon Edmund's Country Girl Swing to it.
This video is almost comes across as a dedication video to all the people who worked at the factory. As it less than a year before they stopped manufacturing. It's sad to think that David Brown was working on the 94 series replacement, the P100 prototype, which became the Case Maxxum 5100 series
Hey! I am a wanderer from the future. I need your help. I am looking for mods for farming simulator 2009. Could you help me with this? I need an archive with files, can you give a link? I will be very grateful to you!))
never understood why case sprayed them red when the tractors were traded back in when they first left the factory they were white black body an orange wheels then when people traded them back in case sprayed them red an black rims shame really
If only the bank of England had of had the money to lend David brown the money to buy case ih in the early 80's. Unfortunately the bank didn't have the money as the country was broke
Im reparing a clutch in 1694 and i dont know how to adjust it because i dont have a special tools and instruction doesnt tell me what dimension are they...
Have you managed to find a workshop book for the tractor ? There should be both the workshop and operator's manual available on the internet, i got the operator's manual for my 1294, i got the workshop manual too but i need to print it too, made good use of it when i got the injectors reconditioned and needed to find the torque spec for them 😄
Sad day when they closed down the Meltham factory in 1986. But good to see some of my filming and editing on RU-vid after all these years. The voice over was done by Redvers Kyle from YTV and halfway through Alan Sykes from BBC Radio Manchester is heard. Also good to see Graham Wells driving the tractor with his signature Deer Stalker hat at 17:24 , we had great times filming these out in the field and lunch times in the pub near Methley, Wakefield. I remember editing with a very early caption generator seen in this video...
Your "Farming Simulator 2009 Fast Money Tutorial" video has brought me here. Do you plan to publish something? I'm from europe and it's really hard to find good agriculture channels related to the United States
@@mrlindsay-jones1850 dont have nothing against your opinion,or against Fords they nice tractors too, but for me David Browns are best and they will allways be
David Brown are the best tractor ever made I would love one but I don't have one cuz I'm 12 but my 2nd cousin restores them and he has a dB 885, 1390 bought brand new in 83, two 1394s one red the other black and orange, a 1594 red and a 1690 theyre all class
I have a Case 1294 from 85 it's not been treated so we'll after sitting in a barn for 10-20 years the previous owners then got it out and fixed up but it is missing a few parts and components mainly the electrics i am missing the windwash system as of right now, the gas struts for the roofhatch are missing, the hood has a dent on front from something falling on it, it also damaged the pipe on the air filter box so they put a plastic 75mm pipe on and glued it on with silicone i am working on fixing the tractor to it's glory it will be a slow process but i will get there one day i'm an 18 year old college student and i have loved tractors since i was 5 years old a friend of mine has the same tractor as me all in original it is in better shape than mine mostly but the mudguards are more beaten up than on mine i also need a det of door mirrors and arms for it then it should be completed 😁
I drive one of these evryday at work its a 28 year old Case 1394 with 4 wheel drive hydra shift and a front loader i :D I love this machine its always running it never has any issues and The sound of it OMG! when you get it close to 1600/1700 rmp it sounds like a god singing! Edit The view is straight up trash you cant see a moose if it was stuck to you! xD
How many hours you got in it? We just bought 1694 with 2900hrs. It needs a bit new liners in the cabin and paintjob done, for being left outside for last 10years. We haven't yet decided if it's a keeper.
