Hi Chris. Yeah, you basically export the AiM dash data file using the AiM software and then in Race Render you toggle the particular parameters for your vid. Once you've got the data file set up and your video uploaded you just need to synchronise the timing using the handy synchronisation tool. Then trim the vid length before creating your finished vid. Takes only a few minutes once you get to know it.
@@chrishart5474 yeah, my AiM dash (M2XE) is in place of the stock dash. Its obd linked so all the ecu data is accessible as well as having a separate GPS receiver under the dash cowling. The dash has a full track database built in and switchable road / track settings.

Nice driving... was that with the stock exhaust? If so, any problems managing noise around SIlverstone? I'm taking my 410 in a few days time and haven't managed to get a quieter exhaust fitted yet - not sure how easy it is to manage the drive-bys...
Hi! No, I have a 2bular QP exhaust on mine. You can do Silverstone with the stock exhaust as there's no static test..... but you'll need to lift for the meters and be sensible around any areas where the Silverstone staff might be located. 👍
@@niacuk1 Hi! Ah ok, I thought I couldn't hear a sudden increase in volume over 4,500rpm! The 2bular QP is the exhaust I have on order. Do you find it good? Hoping to have it for Brands at the end of the month as I know that will be a definite issue with the stock exhaust... Do you know where the meters are located on the GP circuit? Thanks!
The QP is a great exhaust. Done approx 30 trackdays with mine and it's been spot on. Have you ordered the extra 350mm cans too? You'll need those for Brands, but also Goodwood, Bedford and Thruxton if you ever venture there. The meters are on the grid straights at Silverstone. You'll see them on a mast with cameras too.

I had a good chat with Jim and decided that was the way to go, especially as the more noise averse tracks like Brands, Goodwood and Thruxton are relatively close to me. Thanks for advice on spotting the noise meters!

@@photosphotos got a new car after my Thruxton mishap. Went to the Lotus Driving Academy a few months after and learned how to drive one properly. Been cool since 😁
Simple hero3 for the video, then either a vbox CSV or AiM CSV file from the dash loaded into RaceRender software to make your video overlay. All easy to use.
@@b12anr50 it's incredibly bumpy in the Exige. Small, stiff cars like this don't feel entirely happy there. My Alfa QF made the Ring feel very easy in comparison.
@@niacuk1 Brilliant. That's a great time. I was there 4 weeks ago for first time - 1.40 was my best. I had to call it a day early as my left front side wall was down to the wire.... I just entered the Caterham Academy for next year and did my first test yesterday. Very different experience given no downforce and on slippy road tyres!
Aye she's a bit keen on the downchange in auto! Nice work, can only imagine what it's like in the faster corners! Surprised how clear it is! nice to avoid bikes and other nutters I'm sure. Haven't tracked my QV yet apart from an airfield, time to give it a go, but won't start with the green hell just yet, qudos to you.
