Are those kids or women boots (edit: they suspiciously look like the DC Lotus womens Step On boots)? Those are Step On kids bindings, for kids (you can tell from the high back’s design), so you need matching kids boots. You can’t mix and match the bindings and boots (eg. women’s boots won’t work properly with mens or kids step on bindings).
Our 5 year old paddled one at the weekend and loved it and the munchkin paddle was really great too. He (we) were also very very impressed with the mini-monkey too and even though he was snug, he flawlessly self rescued himself and recovered his kit. His little brother (2.5 years) loved the mini-me. Going to be another expensive year haha
Interesting take on the dual plaining surfaces with a pivot point. You have to be courageous to do away with using most of the hull most of the time, since floatation at any given time is obviously reduced ( pure physics tells us that ).
This is totally incorrect. I have a set of these for each of my two boards. An older set and a newer. Neither of them do that. This guy is not even putting his boots in correctly. The problem is obviously him for anyone who knows. He needs to adjust the foot plate on the binding and then learn how to put his boots in the binding correctly.
You didn't get the second click in the heel. The heel has two levels of engagement and you have to really stomp down to get the second click and eliminate the wiggling.
Nice. I’d like to try one. Can do that on SFA in Coloma, CA prolly the River Store has your boats. The “edges aren’t catchy, sidewalls are” makes sense for water but what about rocks? Cool boat Coran! Oh also would you creek with the 19 kg model? Honestly I’d love to paddle a 41-42 lb boat on the creeks I run which are on the easy end of Class V
How big’s the test rider? 5’8” 195lbs? You want me to spend two grand to replace my Mamba? Drop a 6’5” 285lb rider in the Bigfoot with a 42-44” waist and 14-15 size feet. Anything less is just window shopping…
I'd rather get another chinch or a Niedecker. They seem better engineered, more mature and way more dependable even in their very first generation already and worked flawlessly when I tried them out last year. Though they all together lack essential adjustments, which sucks quite a lot and is an absolute exclusion criterion. Maybe for a casual riding board when getting drunk on the hill. But even then, nah.
I wonder if you have women’s boots on men’s bindings? I saw similar movement with women’s boots and genesis binding. Once I got the women’s bindings there was no more movement.
Hello corran, I have a terrible two for some years now and just bought a camera. Can you tell me which kind of mount you used for the front camera view?
