I'll be sharing activities to reach the flow state (a.k.a. being in the zone) - it's when we get fully immersed in doing something, with full focus & enjoyment in the process.
Popularized by positive psychologists Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi & Jeanne Nakamura, research has proven that flow state gives the following benefits: * High concentration - Being able to focus without getting distracted * Sense of clarity - To get away from thoughts & feelings that cloud our minds (stress, worry & self-doubt) * Feeling good - To feel present in the moment & derive pleasure without external stimuli * Happiness - To feel a lasting sense of happiness & fulfilment
For example, macrame, diamond painting & yoga have helped relieved my anxiety & depression caused by hormonal imbalance.
Why Ashta? Ashta is 8 / infinity. Ashta is a sweet fruit / like 'honey'. Ashta is being nice to each other. Ashta is love.
I hope these videos help you find your HAPPY FLOW :)
Hello I live in Singapore & I got the cork board for less than $10 from Shopee :) I think you can find online - Shopee / Lazada / Amazon, something like this www.amazon.com/TOOYFUL-Macrame-7-9x7-9inches-Handmade-Braiding/dp/B09HN9CLMG. Hope this helps ☺️
Hello here's the tutorial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W25qVn_m28c.html. Hope this is useful, and let me know if you have any questions :)
Amazing! Hmm 4mm coaster is faster to make, and probably easier to work with if this is your first time. However, I personally found 3mm nicer for this coaster model, as the 4mm can be too "thick" for a coaster this size. I think 4mm will be better if you're making a bigger piece (placemat, for example). You can find the strings at craft stores or online (Lazada, Shopee, Amazon - example amzn.to/3t9pJtA). I suggest 100% cotton cord (not braided cord though as it'll be difficult to unravel the fringe). Hope this helps 😆 Feel free to ask if you have any other question k!
I’ve become obsessed with macrame lately! Well obsessed with watching videos of other people making macrame! I haven’t actually tried to make it yet. I’m gonna give it a try. Your video was easy to follow and very informative! You make it look easy! I make diy/craft videos too so I am always looking for new project ideas. Thanks for teaching me something new! I hope we can learn more from each other.
Your comment made my day - thanks so much! I've just started, so it's really great to hear that it's easy to follow <3 Give it a try - It is actually a really easy & great hobby :) I just started a couple of months ago & been hooked since LOL. I think the most difficult part for me to start was to find the right string - once you've a good string, the fun begins. Definitely yes to learning more from each other!
