I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.
I feel your pain mate, as a fellow retiree, I’d suggest you look into passive index fund investing and learn some more. For me, I had my share of ups and downs when I first started looking for a consistent passive income so I hired an expert advisor for aid, and following her advice, I poured $30k in value stocks and digital assets, Up to 200k so far and pretty sure I'm ready for whatever comes.
@@Elliot-Ivan The crazy part is that those advisors are probably outperforming the market and raising good returns but some are charging fees over fees that drain your portfolio. Is this the case with yours too?
Because it’s turning into a shithole just like every other major city in the United States. Went there a few weeks ago and could not believe how much it has changed in just a few years, literally crawling with liberal wokeness.
Between the house rich Californians and New Yorkers coming to town blowing up the cost of housing and the LA style traffic that has developed (where are all these people going all day long?) Nashville has just plain become unlivable. The big irony, of course, is these dyed in the wool liberal voters are busy pushing all the poor and downtrodden out of their homes so they can build crap, overpriced developments in the Gulch, East Nashville, and 2nd/4th area.
Said like a true salesman. 180k and growing is far from small town. The infrastructure is 10 years behind and Clarksville was recently #6 on worst cities to commute to or from. The rapid building of 300-900 lot Tennessee trailer parks errr, housing developments have stressed every part of the infrastructure. The nightlife consists of dodging bullets as crime is starting to rival Nashville and Memphis. Nashville 45 mins away is very optimistic in either direction at any time of day other than the wee hours of the morning. The positive thing about Clarksville is there are a great many good people here who do care, unfortunately they are a minority but they are here. Clarksville resident since 2016.
100% agree, especially the dodging bullets and negligent people driving 60 mph down a 25mph neighborhood street... And the way that people around here treat and abandon their animals everywhere... It's crap, so is everywhere else.
Love this thk u. I’m in Austin/from Cali but native Texan have no family left. I f-ing hate Austin! But the grass is NOT always greener. I’ve learned to make do be happy with what I’ve got mostly my health. 😊 I visited Franklin 22, 23. Tooooooo many Indians from India with the red dot 🔴! All for inclusion but really???? they were everywhere & no one can explain…..🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Nobody can afford these homes,i live in columbia,is this were the migrants are going, nobodys going to buy these cars, plus the traffic is very bad,i see a crash coming, this battery stuff is not going well, you must be smoking some good stuff, have you been to e- z vape?
We have lived all over the US, including Texas, Nevada, Oregon, North Dakota, Florida and Illinois. Clarksville, Tennessee is our favorite place we have ever lived and we plan on living here for the rest of our lives. There is a reason it has been named the top city to move to in America twice in the last 5 years!
For its weak points,it truly is a quiet, beautiful place to live if that is the kind of quiet lifestyle one wants to live. I for one can't wait to get out of Nashville and it's chaotic vibe
I grew up there. I agree with everyone you said. It's a beautiful city, but I believe one day in the near future it will get better. People are moving into Nashville and surrounding areas and things are booming. Even Nashville is struggling to adjust. As surrounding cities begin to flourish, so will Clarksville I believe.
Militant, aggresive, money hungry police is the biggest reason to avoid. Your kids will be on Corrupt Probation within a year. Overpriced housing and crap traffic. You will be fined for 34 in a 30 however shootings and serious crime are an issue, Antioch is very close and has crime like memphis. I didnt realize how bad these things were until I moved away after 20 plus years. Look up Operation Candy Crush and the female cop orgy in Lavergne. Getting to Nashville takes 1 hour or more. The elite families own most things, but if you know them your life will be much easier. Property taxes are low.
I’m a Nashville native, and the rising cost of rent was partially to blame for me moving. Oddly enough, it wasn’t because I thought it was too expensive. Nashville has always been a dull mediocre place to live anyways, so the rent prices reaching parity with way better cities made the idea of moving less intimidating.
It is not rural at all. A large city with a lot of trees. Expensive and becoming more traffic bound with the creation of expansive multi family and new home development. It’s popularity may be its undoing.
My sister is a metro school teacher and lives up there. Nashville has become Loud, dirty and crowded. I live in a "gated " community in "Brentioch", and over the last 3 years here I've watched this neighborhood's crime rate soar. I believe Clarksville has become a peaceful retreat for those who need that sort of lifestyle and it will be people like yourself that will help to create a more suitable living environment in Clarksvilles future 😊
I grew up in Gallatin. It was an awful place to live. Recommendation: Live somewhere else!!! I escaped from Gallatin right after graduating from high school and have gone back only rarely for occasional visits with relatives. Gallatin and Sumner County are run by Christian Fundamentalists and Conservative Evangelicals. Nashville is a blue city. Gallatin is a deep red city in the worst Trumpian kind of way. With apologies to H.L. Mencken, you could stand among a crowd in Gallatin, close your eyes, throw an orange, and be certain the orange will hit a religious conservative or a Tea Party/Trumpite Republican. People who relocate from California will be miserable living in Gallatin.
@@egads2 FWIW Bejing & Peking are the same city in North China. You are show your ignorance and intolerance. Every City has its charms and ills whether it be a small town or metropolitan area. There is no need to be nasty about differences of opinion. Just do you.
Good video. Franklins problem is overburdened roads that are not being adoresed. The population has doubled over the past 10-12 years with virtually no change in traffic capacity. Many 2 lane roads without center turn lanes. Most roads are the same as the 1970’s despite significant growth.
People driving 65 mph down a 25mph neighborhood, random shootouts and bullets flying, people abandoning animals everywhere.. if you're not going to be the supervisor of the factory you're not going to make nothing... If you don't own your own business you're not going to make nothing.. everywhere else is just as bad though.
Tennesse is a top 5 state for U-Haul one-way rentals. July 2022-2023 there was a positive migration of 77K people...I'm not sure why this video title uses the word "everyone"?
I don't agree with your pros. My experience... it is overpriced, very limited culturally and academically, It is a "big brother town" and not very accepting of transplants, its downtown is dreary and its infrastructure is poorly planned.
If you are retired, East TN is a better choice. You have better weather, more recreation opportunities, low property prices and taxes. Allergy problems are about the same because East TN is blessed with the largest varieties of trees, over 100, than any other state in the USA. It also has the most visited National Park in the USA because of its beauty.
Please don't encourage more people to move here. Columbia can't handle the people that are here now and we definitely don't need more. It's expensive and traffic is insane. I've developed road rage because of it. These new people can't drive and don't know what a passing lane is. They just stay in it going 30 miles per hour and never let anyone pass. Please go to Alabama it's much nicer and I highly recommend it!
I just wanna say thank you I've watched a few of your videos and they've been so helpful. I'm planning on relocating to Clarksville and the information you've provided has been a great help! Thanks again take care!
Someone commented on Nashville smells like urine why would Nashville smell like urine? That's a pretty bold statement I could see if it was LA downtown, California.
@@nashvilletennesseeliving9750 That maybe true on some statical document. But the truth is the pay is not affordable in comparison to the home value increases. If the median was truly at $270,000 for a house. Living in Nashville is not sustainable with the median now at $480K+. I foresee foreclosure city once all of the remote workers are being called back to the office. it will happen, but it will take time.
