It's funny to hear how folks complain about saw weight, one being better than another by a few ounces, spend double for light bars, but then want heavier mufflers. Both mufflers work great. Bark Box has a lower fuller tone with slight back pressure whereas Straight Shot is louder and much sharper exhaust note with less back pressure. No use having a muffler too open if it ain't sucking as much more air on the intake side.
Lots of personal preferences and theories. But dyno results are facts not based on personal preference, feelings or weight price point I can go on but you get it.
You could do a voice over description on your video for the portion where your discussing the saw as your breaking it down. That would allow you to work with music as you normally do and then cut out the audio from the camera and use the voice over audio.

I just bought a used ms400 with a 25" bar. Ive o ly tested it a little,but i think im gonna like it. Coming from a ms441c that finally died. Im just cutting our own firewood, so it wont lead to hard of a life. Its definitely alot lighter and more simple designed than the 441.
They can be ported. A 590 is a long stroke saw. Little different power feel than a Stihl or Husqvarna. They turn out best if you do coil and carb swap to but that can add up quickly.
The standard mods I run on my 590s are: Base gasket delete Carb limiters removed Carb Governor Block w/JB Weld Muffler Mod Air Filter O-ring Upgrade From there, I'd swap the 590 piston/cylinder for a 620p Only after those upgrades, would I personally bother with a 620p carb and coil swap. My 590s with 620 P&C still scream with the original carb and coil
I found mechanics wire .not once but twice while cutting firewood out back on my father inlaws property. Had to cut the C clip off ! A week later my friends 661c found wire as well as he was helping me🤦🏻
Is that string some fibers from inside a pair of chaps? If you cut into a pair of Chainsaw chaps they filled with thin fiber string that stops the saw by getting bound up in all the moving parts much like what you're seeing in this unit. I'm curious to know if the operator might have had a close call while running that saw.
Last one i had on the bench was super thrashed, ended about 150$ away from a new saw after parts and labor. Next time I'll just have them buy a saw and save the old one for the short block.
I know that no guarantees on anything and my luck has been awful. I am trying to save up for a cheap probably one use saw. Tree fell in the road at my cabin and I can't get past it. Unsure of harbor freight or olies saw lol
This saw is trash. Just returned it after using it for about 15 minutes and made maybe a dozen cuts of a hollowed-out log before the thing started hemorrhaging the bar oil excessively and nearly melted the case. Might be good for a trim saw for a guy that lives on a cul-de-sac who wants to cut up a limb that fell in his yard but not for a guy like me who lives out in the country off of firewood and cuts huge amounts of it with very large trees. It shouldn't come with an 18 inch bar because that's 16 inch power at most because it bogged down constantly when I put it to the wood.
Mine runs n runs runs… has been one of the most reliable saws in my arsenal of saws. My lil turd saw has been so reliable… wish it would give me a reason to buy another saw but it won’t… I can’t justify it cause it performs so good. I did lean the carb a lil bit after it was broke in
I bought one last year and that little Chinese chainsaw rips!! Starts on the first pull and it cuts great, I will definitely be buying a bigger bar Neotec down the road.
How about you just move along and find something else to watch. I will chew and spit how and when I see fit. Maybe you start your own channel and do it how you want to do it. 😆
i got the bark box put it on my 500i and cut for a bit i liked it alot but then my saw started running like crap never had a saw run so bad for me so i took it back and they recalibrated and checked it came back on everything was fine so they gave it back and i went and ran it at work the next day it was worse than when i took it to them so i said fuck this ill try the stock cover and see what happends if not i was going to sell the saw cause it sucked so bad but once i put that stock muffler cover on it and made a few cuts she went right back to the saw i remembered so i might try that egan straight shot hope it works this time.
@@417sawshopI am curious to why it was doing it tho my buddy has the same saw same bark box and his doesnt do what mine was doing but like i said after i put the stock cover back on and made 3-4 cuts it was back to how it was when i first bought it
I bought this same saw today. Don't waste your time it's a peace of crap, I had to pull the cord 30 times and it will run until you engage the chain then It shits the bed.
