You say Molana Rumi, I say Mevlana Rumi, they say Rumi... Names are really not that big of a deal. Lots of other people are known by their titles rather than names too. As long as it's easy to distinguish what people mean, it doesn't matter.

He is one of Persians that has a huge impact. He wrote all of his poem in Persian and he was Persian. Note to all: Molana, Ferdosi, Sadi are great. If you are interested to learn about how great Persians were look at what story was Godfather based on? It is shahname by Ferdosi to preserve Persian language after two centuries of silence of Persia and took 40 years to write it and it is all poem about a guy looking for his father.

@@snowstreams7503 The translations by R. A. Nicholson, A. J. Arberry, and William Chittick are all very accurate and authentic, I highly recommend them (Nicholson has some nice archaisms while Arberry is more modern)
@@neynahnehnah1485 I first found those recommendations from a Persian person’s website where he compared the authenticity of the English translations. I know there’s also a woman Persian translator that I’ve read, she’s quite good, her name is Haleh Liza Gafori
