I just bought one from Amazon. I thought it was just mine that had the blue controller and no instructions! However, I'll make the best of it before it breaks!!!
Thanks for the video! These are precisely the 2 bashers I'm interested in and it was great to watch a head-to-head between them. I suspect that I will end up buying both anyway....
easy mistake you put the weel on wrong the screw groove was on the wrong side the screw did not go in i seen it on the unboxing all ways read info twice or more
Gens ace G-Tech Bashing 5200mAh 7.4V 35C 2S Lipo Battery Hardcase 24# with EC3 Plug They last about 20 min. You can find them on Amazon. Here's a link www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C2CW2PVR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
If the light is dim, reverse the input plug going into your aux. One side is always dim and the other side is much brighter. Let me know if that works for you.
You are legend! Thank you for sharing. I bet any expert started in exactly the same way, and you are the one who actually showed it so clearly where does this journey starts.
For anyone that doesn't know - Moving the jumper from nimh to lipo doesnt make the esc run any different, it just turns the low voltage cut off on so you don't damage your lipo by running it too low. It will not damage your ESC by running one battery with the jumper in the wrong position, only possibly the battery
It has been 2 years since this was posted. I hope now you can see everything that resulted in your total failure. Even an experienced RC pilot would have never flew from that field. Big radio transmitter tower nearby (radio interference) - Rough surface - tall grass - trees everywhere close in - so many red flags. Had you been in a nice big park with short grass (think soccer field) you most likely would have been able to fly that plane successfully ... just one other note ... the airplane will go on the ground where the noise wheel is pointing. You dont want to be making a big correction with the rudder on take off because as soon as the plain becomes airborne it will bank due to your rudder command you are using Adjust that wheel straight when the rudder is straight. Find someone to help you on your first flight. Solo was a BIG mistake for you. Your video will help many others I am sure and thank you for posting it.
Thank you for posting an HONEST video of your experience flying an RC plane. I have put a fair number of planes in a tree myself over the years, recovered some, permanently lost others. All of that said, this is a great plane for beginner/intermediate pilots, if you keep it on Beginner mode and fly it low and slow you will have fun and avoid problems.
@@RobT29 Awesome, glad to hear I inspired you. Enjoy the XMaxx, it’s the most durable truck on the planet, it’s fun to customize, and a blast to bash around.
@@RobT29 depends on the light kit your installing. The light kit for the front & back of the truck was easier in the front to install because the lights screw into the front bumper. You just have to loosen it up with a screwdriver driver to easily install them. The back is a little trickier because you have to find a place to mount it to. I chose to. From experience I would say any time you can avoid mounting to the body at all you are better off because bodies can pop off when your bashing so it’s safer to mount lights to bumpers in the chassis whenever possible. You can also double & triple up splitter cables off the same Aux to add multiple lights to a truck. I use hot glue to mount led strips along the inside & bottom of the chassis to light up the truck inside the body & give it underglow as it drives on the ground. There’s also light kits you can buy to mount to a roll cage just by screwing it into it. I find a lot of stuff on eBay & Amazon. I find Amazon a better place to shop for led strips & more commonly used types of lighting. eBay is better for finding the more obscure stuff like roll cages & lighting for the roll cages.
@newenglandrc thanks a lot Yes UDI022 is upgraded but even the price is more. Could you tell me how is the built quality of UDI005 the body and plastic propellers and rudders is durable enough?
@@AbbyRCToys just watch my video. Theres nothing more I can say about it, that I haven’t already mentioned. It’s a great quality RC boat at a reasonable price. Just buy it & you will love it, trust me.
Look amazing, my question is being that that's a huge pain i* t** a** How many minutes do it take before your light stopped? Working once you started bashing?
The light hasn't stopped working yet. I bought a 2nd body to use for bashing it during the day. I use the lighted body at night for light driving so I don't destroy the lights.
I haven't used the UDI022 but if its an upgraded version of the UDI005 then maybe go for that. I will just say that the UDI005 is my favorite RC boat that I have driven and also the biggest one. Its too large to use in a pool so if you have only a small area to take it to then it would not be a good choice. If you plan to take it to a lake, where you have a lot of room to let it rip, you will love this boat. Its incredibly well made, so no water will get into it, provided you seal it properly and its very fast and durable.

I’ve been looking into purchasing one of these sir and the nimh battery was really putting me off in getting one but how you have shown so clearly how easily to put a 2S Lipo in correctly I’m sold in purchasing this little #BEAST of an RC.
The term "RC" applies to airplanes as well. It refers to anything radio controlled, hence the designation of R\C. My first knowledge of radio controlled vehicles was in fact airplanes, then cars, boats, then coptors.
So I did watch another guy who was only getting 48 mph from his xrt out of the box. Long story short, he realized it was because it has belted tires that come on it. When he swapped them out. He got well over 50 mph. Part of that was because the tire that he swapped it out for was slightly larger and not a belted tire. So, in a sense, it changes the end gear ratio. Because the tire was bigger and it balloons out, causing higher speed. So to get more speed you can change the tires out to a slightly larger tire or change the gear ratio.
Amazing. I was just trying to decide between these to and not only did you put together a great video testing them, you did it just a mile up the road from me.
You may have a model aircraft club in your area, and I'm sure you can find someone who would be happy to give you flight instruction. Yes you needed a much bigger field, and an instructor with a "buddy box" connection to your transmitter. Even in real airplanes they didn't give me the controls for takeoffs and landings untill after several flights where the instructor took care of that while I learned to control the plane once in the air.
Stick it on top of your tv and turn all lights off... look great. A lot of work sure, but you need this just for posing around, if there is such a thing with rc trucks in the USA. Would not surprise me frankly.
Arrma Mojave Grom. I just finished the video for it. Check this out. Night and day better choice. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dyO3yjGDqNc.html
