I´ve just learned about the departure of David 3 years ago. Sorry for my tardiness. Thanks, dear David, wherever you are for being so kind and for making me know your music before YT was alive. May ADOSHEM be with you, as we always told each other. You are sorely missed.
I just found your channel this morning. I think I may be starting every morning with coffee and one of your videos from now on. So beautiful, thanks for sharing your gift!
Dear Mr. Erickson, thanks for your memorial. I usually send him letters around Christmas time, did not get one in return last year.... just saw his obituary... David and I were the best of friends we both taught at Combs College of Music in Philadlephia. I was chairman of the Music Education Department there. I went to a number concerts in Philadlephia and once at Swathmore College where his music was performed.. He and his wife Rena were very close and wonderful friends since the 1980's I surely will miss him.
Dear Mr. Erickson, I just learned of David's death. He was indeed a great musician and person. I'm so glad to know now this amazing piece of music. You play it beautifully. I'm a violist and have played a few of his viola works. I'm so glad that his music will live on. Take care, David
Ah, Clipper, your performance of his works does this great man justice. I so wish I had met him. Thank you for your gifts to honor the living and the departed.
I love how this piece kind of "plays itself" --thanks to the seemingly effortless playing of Clipper Erickson. Such a respite from noise all around us!
