Did your cat ever have the rapid eye movements? This afternoon my cat lost her balance and looked very similar to yours but the vet dismissed my concerns as she wasn’t exhibiting the pupil movement of vestibular disease.
I remember her eyes had an eerie movement - or rather lack of movement. She wouldn't look at you or focus on things and she wasn't blinking. Even if I put my face close to hers or rubbed her head, she would just stare straight ahead with her eyes wide open. The vet said the ear infection caused some sort of swelling / pressure against the nerve in her head that controlled her eyes/blinking reflex.
Hi! My cat also had vestibular disease. They can recover on their own, usually after a couple weeks. If it’s a severe situation they may need to go to the vet for a few days for fluids if they aren’t eating. It can be recurrent which means it can come back.
