Something i just realized rewatching this is that The Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight is supposed to be the polar opposite of the Tick. Yeah, he looks more like a cockroach, but he seems to be just like The Tick, but everything heroic is villainous. He constantly announces who he is, his intentions, his alignment, he doesnt even really have a reason to do that, he's just crazy. He spouts loud metaphors and nonsense about how evil he is, hell he's even got the opposite color of the Tick. I never realized how this episode really is him fighting himself twice, in name and in personality.
Things He says to me Baby: "So you wanna be a Bad guy?" "You got style Baby! But if you're gonna be a real villain, you gotta have a gimmick." "You gotta do something smart Baby, something Big! You wanna be a supervillain right?" "You got bombs, blow up the comic club! It's packed with superheroes you'll go down in supervillain history." "You've got legs Baby, you're everywhere! You're all over the place!" "Evil's OK in my book, what about yours?" "I Can't Baby, cuz you're not!" "This could happen to you, this could happen to anybody!" "I don't like the cut of your Jib."
That Evil Midnight Bomber What Bombs At Midnight has a certain something about him... Maybe it's the way he does Evil Midnight Bombings What Bomb At Midnight?
As someone else has also pointed out, most of the 'heroes' in the Tick universe are a bunch of idiots. No surprise that Doorman because of his arrogant attitude is barely capable despite having super powers.
