it would be so pretty if you flew a drone with a camera up the creek, to record the falls, in summer, and in winter. It would be epic if you had zip lines and could take them one by one down the many water falls from the top of the mountain to your place

will this road be ok for full size pickup trucks or SUVs??? Or just mid size vehicles that have good 4x4 and low gears??
@davidcook2687
@davidcook2687 2 года назад
I’m actually still working on the the switchbacks. It has 3 of them and it’s hard to widen them because the hillside is so steep. Right now only a mid size truck can make the tight turns.

@@zachm7854 I grew up beside of David in Glen Ayre. Though definitely not as familiar with the woods lol I remember my grandparents saying you had to park on top of the mountain and make your way down. There is a little store on NC261 called Thomas Grocery if your in the area and decide to visit the site I'm sure the owners would be a wealth of information if you can't reach David. I was told people had carried off much of what could be and was recognizable. Though as you know it was in pieces. Its very rough territory so just transporting your ownself in and out is difficult let alone anything substantial.

U need a bigger dozer for a job like that. A d9 or d10 or a d475 would be perfect to push straight through rocks and all. Your dozer was just too light.

@@davidcook2687 Buy the biggest excavator you can afford, at least 45,000 pounds. don't mess with those little ones unless you are working in a city. Although a heavy backhoe can do quite a bit also.
