Unemployed Hand-Model, Adventurer, RU-vidr, Pot-Stirrer and GMRS & H.A.M. Radio Hobo To The Stars aka Randolpho (Randy) Cafe. This is an "Edutainment" & Satire channel - Be warned that leaving whiny comments complaining about anything I say or do will probably be used against you to demonstrate your lack of humor and inability to grasp the concept of sarcasm. I am fully licensed to transmit on GMRS frequencies as well as several UHF & VHF LMR frequencies per my FCC Business License. I do not have any need for a H.A.M. radio license and therefore I refer to myself as an Undocumented H.A.M. Radio Operator. - and, no, I will not give you my GMRS or FCC Business license call signs because they are none of your business.
Thank you very much this information is useful because I've been telling a lot of people about using radios in emergency situation like in case cell phone towers go down yes I understand we going to need radios for communications regardless of the type of radio thank you and I appreciate your work and keep it up
Airtag, I switched to Tile. Main reasons, my phone can ring the Tile Tracker thus finding my keys, and the Tile tracker can ring the misplaced or lost phone as well. Apple Airtag cannot ring the phone. The Tile trackers has a longer and louder ring than the Airtag and more distance as well. Tile does not need a fob, it has a built-in lanyard hole.
I am a Ham operator. I studied for 3 months and tested successfully for my Tech, General, and extra license. However, I want my family to have a backup for communication and there is zero chance that they would put in the time and effort for a Ham license. GMRS is a really good option for them...and me to communicate in an emergency. Watching your videos, you have warned folks not to refer Chinese radios as CCR (Cheap Chinese Radios) so I will not do that. I did just order 4 Baofeng GMRS-9R inexpensive radios. I have also applied for a GMRS license. I'm looking forward to getting them setup and distributing them to my tribe. Thank you for your video's they have helped me in this process!!
Same here I know not to swear just calling somebody homely or ugly does not mean I should be chastised for it it's true so I called somebody ugly it's not hate it's the truth but they removed my comments without telling me why I think when they remove my conversation tell me what kind of they removed and what it's pertaining to so much for freedom of speech huh?
I don't have gmrs or a ham license and I listen and talk on both all the time. Make up a call sign give a fake name qrzed aint perfect, If I talk to my friends its on FRS, I'm not a jammer I'm respectful and I know my phonetics and I know the lingo, I get along with everybody and I don't interrupt, just a freedom loving American that believes no one "owns" the air and we have way too much overreach by alphabet agencies!
Ok, hey sir pls ignore this comment, I writing a few key words to see why my previous comment on another video was removed, so none of what I'm about to say isnt meant to interfere with or disrespect your work acoustic thug zesty fckin
Consider waiting a year, or until Bt Warrants all units are professionally Tested for min 3hours continuous Output greater than 47 watts. Bt tunes these for power using software, If its new but they do Not test, or supply software which Allows end user to adjust to specs Then they (BT) need to compensate Repeater buyers For Btech neglance
I have used Icom, Yeasu, and Btech customer service. Btech has been the best, most responsive service in the amateur radio industry. Sorry you were not able to get a working unit.
I love this guy. He is so entertaining. And sadly, I am a licensed Ham Radio operator. But I can’t figure out how to use the. Boof wang walkie-talkie. That’s a big 10 four good buddy.
Randy, our GMRS Btech RPT50 experiences were nearly identical. Using Windows 10, I could not use the Btech software or the firmware. After manual programming, the Morse code identification would work only one or two times no matter what time interval was programmed. Lastly, on high power, it only broadcasted at 14.5 watts. Paypal will issue a 100% refund after the repeater is received by Btech in South Dakota. The cost to ship the RPT50 back with a shipping business this morning, via UPS was $139.30! I'm looking for a replacement rock solid GMRS repeater in this price range... any recommendations? Can true happiness be found with a Vertex 7000? Best vendor for the Vertex?
I am very happy with my VXR-7000.. you can only find them used now, and the biggest issue with it is that the software is hard to get and is very old - i can only get it to run on Windows 10, cant use it on Win11...
Ok. So at th 15:30 mark I quit listening.. It looks like no matter what. The UV 82 and (UV 9R ...IP67) rated too are still my go-to radios, and yes, Chirp compatible. Thanks for the video.
Complains about people being butt hurt and then makes a whole video because hes butt hirt. I don't care if you delete comments. Your impotent rage is hilarious.
If youtube started to shadow ban your videos would this upset you? If so, I guess you should welcome yourself into the studpid people club as this video took as much effort as this comment. 😂
My one packed up after 3 months. I have a useless Tidradio. Was the best hand held radio I ever had. Tidradio will not respond or AliExpress as many others have found. Some have removed AliExpress account. I won't go that far. I have now ordered another alternative radio and cut my losses.
That support does not exist. I tried for a week. Eventually I found another way, I got a reply, but it was impossible to comply with their requirements as that was not the problem. I got nowhere in the end
I have some crappy cobra radios that I am trying to utilize with a pair of UV-5R radios I have.... The UV-5r's talk to each other perfectly and receive from the crappy cobra radio. My issue is getting the Cobra to receive from the UV-5R's. Is this possible or with the UV-5R's on talk to eachother? Thank you and love the vids!! .... note.... have been utilizing channel 16 462.5750 for "testing" purposes.
All this information you’re providing is extremely valuable and put into simple terms for those who have no clue about the many intimidating options in settings. Thanks
