The only Kia I can actually vouch for is the first gen 2.0 in the soul. Thing is fucking bullet proof I swear. But the rest are fucking junk. Not worth shit
Hyundai/kia seems to do very poorly with certain owners. I take care of my cars and haven't had any issues with hyundai or kia. Sometimes, I see people complain about things while they are fully at fault for what they are complaining about.
It's the consistency. Honda and Toyota like out of 100 cars 99 of them will work as intended without serious issue. Hyundai is more like 60/100. I had a Hyundai Genesis and had so much trouble with it. My few friends also as well but I did know a few who had none at all
Nothing unusual, I have seen dealerships here in the US have events where you can trade in anything, like jewelry, guns, and tools. They usually work side by side with a large pawnshop to get people money for down payments. I'm sure this is where this guy got the idea about the guitar.
To be pair if he sells it to a auction house he would make way less than selling it himself. Rule number 1 of negotiation is to point out flaws in order to get a better price, even if u plan to never fix the flaws
Only after an engineer whistleblew under federal protection… I worked at a Hyundai store in the early days of Theta family engine failures, the brand was doing people dirty.
I work for AAA as a tow operator. The amount of KIA and Hyundais tow is unreal. I always tell members, Don't buy KIA or Hyundai they are the 2 by far worst cars manufacturers.
That's why there's so many old Elantras and sonatas on the roads.. cuz they all die and aren't worth sh. Y'all tripping I've driven em til the wheels fell off. Just take care of the damn thing I swear Hyundai buyers are just car noobs who don't understand ya gotta change the oil while Mazda and Toyota buyers are more car savvy and understand how to take care of a vehicle because they're spending more on it
@@DigitalGoldAUI mean there’s no denying they fail in major ways more than almost any other brand. Doesn’t mean they can’t last a long time But even 5% failure (I think it’s closer to 20% for Hyundai/Kia which is insane) is massive at scale. Especially with their volume. There’s been at least one Elantra that made it to a million miles original engine I believe. So they can last but unfortunately a lot of them don’t. It’s just poor quality control. Also the failures encompass so many different engines. Obviously Thea II engines (which is what most people talk about) but also other Hyundai/Kia engines also. Not only that but the transmission failures. Fluid leaks, electrical issues, and other problems leading to fires. It’s history on repeat again and again for this company. They really need to work on quality control. It’s funny people argue about it but not know the issues that encompass the brand. Which btw is second to Toyota as the largest brand in the world. INSANE to have those types of issues on that many cars at that scale but unfortunately that is what it is. They will hopefully eventually fix that but it doesn’t seem like it so far.
Would never buy another Hyundai my engine lasted 2 years and blew up worst quality if you are buying used get a Toyota or Lexus, they have the best quality and last the longest 😢😅😮😮
Yeah but you'll get a twice as old with twice as many miles as the Hyundas for the same price.. I'd rather have something with updated tech and safety than an old boat that will never die
They just pick your car to death just to low ball you sell outright or to carmaxx don’t let them get over on you cause they just gonna sell it and make money on it
how does a business work? do you know carmax just takes the kelley blue book value and gives you an offer 30%below, look up any carmax video every youtuber and they’re mom has taken a super car to carmax and got ridiculously lowballed please be quiet kipperlane
Yea, usually you check for damages before you buy a car. Also businesses need to make money. I know you live with your parents and never payd anything. Or do you pay for your boss to go to work?
Engine worth more than the car, car is a $2500 trade tops maybe $4k wholesale as it is, wouldn’t bother paying $1000 for new parts and paint and you might only add $1000 to the car. It’s a pig, get rid of it and make your money on the finance.
Nah bro I don’t know what economy your living in, but that car has a private value of $8000 with a little under 100k miles. considering it has a low mile engine with warranty, he could be looking at around $6k trade in, or $9k if he sells it himself
@@3shottzzliving in the real world dude, a dealer isn’t going to pay to fix it and then try and resell it to someone and then worry about the engine warranty stopping with the original owner, then they’ll get stuck with the warranty on it, it’s a pig, they’ll wholesale it and make a few bucks on the trade price and be rid of it.
@@thesausage351 im not arguing that they are going to pay to get the bumper repaired, im saying its basic knowledge that you point out flaws when negotiating. as for wholesale and trade in value, your trade in value is going to be the same as the wholesale value. dealers are typically breaking even on trade ins, unless they choose to list the car themselves. the money they make is coming from the car they trade in for
@@3shottzz trade in and wholesale are different animals where I live. I’m not paying $2000 for a car if it only sells in an auction for $2000. I wouldn’t put a piece of shit like that on my lot, I’m paying nothing for it, sending it to auction and making money on the finance.
@@thesausage351 just to be clear, when you mention auctions are you talking about dealer only auctions, or public ones? Because with dealer auctions your generally looking to pay under market price
