Well mine never popped out so easily, I'm sure there are sections skipped in this video I followed a video to the extreme and my plastic cracked around the radio.
If there is any chance of you seeing this, please i have the same camera but when y press the arrow to go to the menu, it just turn the screen of i cant do nothing to enter to config
Strange. My 2018 Prius has a very interesting harness at the rear gate for all of the electrical to go through. It's quite obvious that the Prius you've got there does not have that. Since there's many generations of Prius, I guess yours is not the same as mine.
It's easier to jump at the fuse box. Getting into the radio area is excessive. Plus, separate fuses are difficult if you bury it behind the dash. I was here to get ideas about placement near the PCS/LD boxes now standard on all of their cars. ☹️ Although the rear camera placement is the same as my first choice, that window gets really dirty, plus vandals (parking mode, continuous recording) might not be as identifiable. That camera looks like a relic from 1994 😁
Nice video thanks, just a little tip. If you link the products you used with affiliate links you can make a few cents per click and also help out us viewers without having to look at what hardware you used. Cheers!
Well, dam where can i buy one of them cordless drill that with just touching the dam screws they magically disappear how cool is that don't care the price just tell me
Thank you for posting this. I would have never been able to get the radio out without this video. Note that 2 of the screws in the top tray are under the rubber lining. A firm pull is definitely the best way to pull the console cover out of the clips. I would have thought that prying them would work better, but that does not work.
@Joshua. Notice the removal of the screws is acted. He missed a couple. This video was done after disassembly and reassembly without the screws. I suggest after removing the shifter cover plate, prying off the side panels (thin silver ones) at the bottom. remove lower screws, and side screws holing in the DC plug assembly. Then continue as shown in video.
Does the Hyundai Genesis coupe have any pre-amp outs? I have the Navigation system in mine and have not yet had a chance to pull it to look. Figured I would ask first. Thanks for any info...
@stephen albert I have tried pulling it and it just doesn't come off. And I'm pulling the fuck out of this knob. It's been taken off before because I've had a Double Din Pioneer installed in my console. So I thought it would be able to come out easier, but it doesnt. Any tips/help?
Thank you for your interest in JY Custom kit. The part number for this product is HAVMD-11. Please note that this is not for Double DIN. It is only compatible with 7" portable vehicle navigation like Magellan Roadmate series. Thank you.
My thoughts exactly I battled it's not as easy as they make out, especially when your car has been in the sun for many years, my plastic around the radio just cracked and I followed every step, this video is BS
