Hello, my name is George and welcome to my channel! A passion for customizing radio controlled cars evolved into making scale, realistic videos of my creations combined with spectacular sceneries.
@@blackspec1855 I used two pieces of styrene as a plate to raise the gearbox around 1cm higher, this video is from another truck, I hope it helps ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Zqi3Hmicfxw.htmlsi=mZxyheJ8wfOoV5xb
@@VermontScaleCustoms love it Mark, just love it, I also installed later on the skid plate, the ground clearance is perfect, no more belly hanging. The shackle reversal helped indeed, first of all the axles pushed +4mm so better approach angle, but also now the front suspension is a bit angled.
I am not exactly sure why but in the video it felt that the shackle reversal helped and made the compression on the front axle better?! Anyway, nice video man! Always fun and relaxing to watch.
Indeed it helped actually. The reason is it pushes the axle to the front for better approach angle and also now the suspension is angled and pushes the axles to the inside, works like a charm! Thank you for watching, I am glad you enjoyed the video!
It's actually a copy from tamiya bruiser (hg something) . But the main cab is the same as RC4WD. The bed needed some modifications as it's is for a smaller wheelbase body
@@montana4069 how I changed the wheelbase to fit on the RGT chassis ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zmNNV3smRxQ.htmlsi=82rrvE4lexsUM6Dr
When it gets super loose and starts making all kinds of creaking sounds like a 1:1. You'll know it when it's there. I can't recall when mine started doing it a lot but it took some work. You really have to drive these hard to get them to really break in. They're tough trucks.
I have been driving near by this trail for too long without visiting it.. I should have done it earlier as it is a nice location. Truck will get few upgrades first of all then it will get some minor trimming and paint..
These are v4 wpl wheels, which I customized a bit, by gluing wpl rims to them for more width. I cut another of wpl wheels and glued them to the v4, then ofc painted them
Great crawling I put a injora mb100 in mine it's been used for a couple of months now and there is no problem and it fits under the hood with a small 2 cell battery very smooth operation thanks
Xmm that's a nice idea. I am using hobbywing 1060 in this one. Although it is still underpowered for my liking, but I have a spare 370 motor to spare sooner or later.
I love it, and the way stock electronics are moving this heavy body, on the other hand I can't say that the hobbywing 1080 is way smoother on my jk wrangler. Thank you 🙏
@@ScaleCustomCrawlers-SCC Yes you make very good videos and I love the Hilux, in the future I hope to make one in metal, at the moment I am finishing the kirovets and I have already thought about some accessories for it so I will have to wait haha a hug friend 👍😊💪😜👋
Dude, that could honestly be an extended Toyota ad hahaha. I got one of these and they're so capable. The only thing that I would want to change is the front suspension. The tires aren't great, but it looks so scale its beautiful aye XD
@@Nerdinacrazyworld hehe thanks a lot! I enjoy making these kind of videos and sharing them on RU-vid. It is a capable truck indeed, my only wish would be a better more customizable chassis..
@@montana4069 I wanted one for a long long time. So started saving some money instead of spending it on other projects that I have. It is a good platform but it's an old platform also. I just craved for a leaf spring truck for a while and decided to pull the trigger with this Marlin Crawler. Generally, you get few good upgrades with this edition of TF2
@ScaleCustomCrawlers-SCC same here, c24-1 was my first crawler, then it was a slippery slope from there lol. I still rock all my wpls, I love them for videos, and the challenge they bring on a trail drive.
@@GC-RC to be honest I never had any problem with mine, except of some maintenance. I never abuse my custom toys, maybe that's the solution. Of course when I started working with bigger scale trucks, I neglected wpl trucks just a bit. But I love watching them on my shelfs as static models
