I have a huge collection of Chelsea goals and feel it only fair to share what I have.
Some of the collections I've put together are from all time legends of the club and some to highlight some lesser known names from Chelsea's past.
As this is a retro channel, my rules are: 1. Their last appearance has to be at least 20 years ago 2. They have to have scored at least five goals to make it worth dedicating a whole video to (sorry, the Robert Fleck collection won't be happening any time soon)
He was a brilliant player and had a very impressive second season scoring 11 goals in 14 league starts in 97/98 including four against Barnsley and was the top scorer in the Cup Winners Cup also.
A favourite of mine, such a shame about the injuries, a brave player, excellent up front with Ossie. In Cup final 70, saved the game (i was 9 and crying as Leeds had scored soon before) and legendary throw-in for the replay winner.
I met a old boy on the bus today on our way to Portman road, he claimed to be Steve Finnieston. I don’t know much about him or Chelsea’s history, trying to figure out if it was actually him or just a old Scotsman pretending. He claimed he started his career at Hibs n signed for Chelsea at 17, scored a goal against Manchester UTD from the corner flag? Pretty cool if we did meet him if not then someone is his biggest fan
Forgot to add in my previous comment how he was my fave player for a time and has even liked some of my comments on his Instagram posts. I was gutted when he was sold to Rangers, he put in a memorable two-goal performance against Man Utd in Ranieri's first game in charge.
Great video of Flo who was a key player during the Vialli era and was the club's top scorer in 1999/2000 including 8 in the Champions League quarter-final run. He had some great cameos from the subs bench in his first season and the memorable game against Blackburn the following season.
One Kerry Dixon there's only one Person in the Crowd. The lack of supporters at Stamford Bridge back in the day when Chelsea were utter shite is a real indicator just what a bunch of jokers their 'fans' are. All trooped along when the Russian was pumping all that money that should have been going to poor Russian people, but before then none of these fans could really be arsed. A joke of a football club.
Loved the way he spoke out over the sectarian element . Blues Bros C&&P . Who hounded John Mc Ginn . When the Blues played Aston Villa a few seasons ago. Hating on a player just cos he's a Scots Catholic. Didn't mind all the Italian Catholics Vialli . Zola though. Arsewipes like Hodges and Latham .
Remember a goal he scored at Anfield. Put through from the half way line; Clemence rushed out of his area and Steve chipped him from about 35 yards! Ian Britton scored the other with a header! They equalised right at the end.
I liked John Spencer. I always remember buying a Chelsea match program where they incorrectly stated his height as 6ft 4. Clearly they must have meant 5ft 4. Anyway, he gave a lot on the pitch and it was a fun time to be fan.
John Hollins was a huge asset for every club he played for. A utility player who could play in virtually any position, a consummate professional who always looked after himself, a great ambassador for the game and an absolute gentleman. It doesn't matter which club you support, John was a player everyone liked and admired.
