I had a full meltdown and this helped me so much I was only able to inhale 3 seconds tho has no problem exhaling. I’m sure when I’m already in a calm state I would be able to do 4 seconds.

I’ve done this for a few yrs I stated because I had heard it helps for decreasing the possibilities of arthritis as we age. I stopped for yrs and my separation 1almosr 2 yrs I started up again. Didn’t know it anything about the vagus nerve. I’ll be 59 soon and I enjoy the finishing my shore with a cold rinse. I look forward to trying a cold pledge even looked the cold water tubs in Amazon. I had a lot of trauma the last 10 yrs so now I’m in a better place. Definitely follow ing up to learn more about our vagus never . Thank you 🙏

My issue was I was prescribed a benzo and stayed on it for years instead of 4-6 weeks. I was not aware of having to taper slowly. I used Kava to taper from. 1mg, to 1/4, then to 1/8. Now that I've stopped, I'm having flight/ fight issues as well as not feeling my (mainlyv left leg). Another Dr prescribed keppra, but I don't want to take 1000mg per day. I've been taking 650mg daily and using L-Theanine which replaces the benzo.

Justin, would you have suggestions for alternative hand posturing? I had an injury 10 years ago, and after several surgeries am unable to bend my wrist at that angle or apply any significant pressure to my hand.

Why not just say mentally STOP everything going on in your mind ( thoughts) will stop and you will notice a boundless silence just notice that silence thats all you need

I’ve been wearing a Whoop for about 6 months. I’m watching my HRV closely. In my case HRV closely corresponds to my executive function. A few weeks ago it dropped off by at least 50% every night. My anxiety was high and ability to stay motivated was gone. Every little sound seemed deafening. I’m taking supplements and making lifestyle adjustments and it seems to be helping. HRV tells so much about our stress management and ability to self regulate.

Hi , I have huge adrenaline rushes everyday in the early hours of the morning and have done for the last 213mhave suffered extreme stress but can’t cope with these rushes anymore , is that the one stuck ? Thanks meant to put 13 months🤦‍♀️
