Much respect to all the original lockers from back in the day in Cali, they really contributed to the whole Hip Hop Culture. They were all Dope, especially Fred Berry
By the 80s the origin bboy were on to college and work...then these guys appeared with uniformed and card board Dads and Trixie are the first BBOYs, Zulu Kings the first breakin crew that all other breakers came from
Loved this show as a kid. I remember the episode where Rerun tries out for The Rockets. The manager looks up like viewing a billboard and says "I can see it now, Five Rockets... and a Moon".
Thank goodness I was born at the end of the 70's! Fashion and dance music was horrible! Who am I kidding, 80's sucked too! Shit didn't get good until rap kicked down the door on MTV.
Who knows the name of the artist of this song? Never knew of this older version. I know it's named dance but i only knew of the boys from the bottom version of this song.
Don’t let Ray Gun ruin your thoughts on break dancing and the athleticism of Phil Wizard’s gold medal run. It’s a shame she’s the most talked about breaker, from the Olympics and not Phil.
I was in my early teens when break dancing became popular. I remember me and my friends in the driveway, with our parachute pants, trying to do spins on a piece of cardboard. Everyone was hooked. I mean look at that crowd. What a mix of people. Even the white grandma was diggin it. This was over 40 years ago. What the hell happened? Why have we become so divided today?
One of the greatest episodes of TV ever. The way Rerun & Rog turned the tables rather than just give up always stuck with me as a kid What dancers. Unbelievable. Better than any modern break dancing
