I want a skate for city cruising and I dont have a 5 wheel setup (i can afford only 1) can you help me out? I'm not sure which one to buy (4x100 or 5x90) i have heard 5 points of contact makes it v smooth but if you had yhe choice to buy only one prioritising city cruising, which one would you buy?
@FlotosMC
@FlotosMC Месяц назад
Hey, for city cruising it's without a doubt a 4 wheel setup. 5 wheels, even on bigger wheels, are quite slower and heavier due to the more pronounced rocker. This is partly because the center of your foot is on a wheel, so it naturaly will want to pivot. While on 4-wheel setup the middle of the foot is stable, between two wheels, so you can push better to gain speed.

If those are Igors (Igors are supposed to be carbons), well, they look a bit floppy on your ankles during some of the lions.

Hello, what about the cross overs with a 36mm wheel base? not too hard?
@TooManyWheels
@TooManyWheels Год назад
Hey, for me it is fine, I am even using only 5*100mm for the last 8 months. However that is still something to keep in mind when you get this frame, but you forget it is long over few sessions.

Yeah I agree. I used to care about the look of it (it's really great when people skate with goofy pant and stylish look) but it's not me and why I skate at all.
