You probably know me from my main channel ru-vid.com. On this channel, I would be going beyond Power BI, sharing my ➔ personal journey to create inner success (peace, love, joy...) ➔ professional journey to build a fulfilling business and life ➔ I may even post occasional Power BI bonus content :-)
I’m sure you remember me as I do remember you. But you might not know that I’m still here and that you helped me again once I am at the next crossroad on my career. Now I’m sure which road I should choose :) Keep on doing it! You’re definitely good enough :-) Power On!
Avi, as always it was a pleasure and honor to speak to you. I'm glad we were able to get over the technical difficulties and still have a great conversation!!!
Thank you Avi for sharing your story. I was inspired by your journey in December 2022. In April of this year, I left my full time job to pursue my dream of running my own company. Fortunately, I had a stable set of customers to start with and so, leaving my job wasn't as risky. Thanks for the inspirational thoughts and for helping us have the courage to pursue our dreams.
Avi, thank you very much for this, very valuable tips here. I didn't know how to order the featured posts. And the nerdy 'above the fold' explanation was a great plus!!!! 😃💪
I completed my graduation in BScIT I want to do business analytics with power bi I went to your paid courses it is closed now when it will re open I really want to learn power bi I am still learning from your RU-vid channel.
Hi Avi! Thanks a lot for sharing your ideas and thoughs! I hope you can enjoy your vacation next year! I definitely want to become a Power BI expert =) I´m looking forward to joining your Power BI learning Community.
Hey Avi. I also found that the exercise that you favor is the one that works for me as well! Doing it 36 times only takes about a minute, but I felt very focused during that particular minute. It might serve me as an alternative to stepping up from working on my computer, which I probably do about once every 30 minutes or so. It occurs to me that I could alternate between both.
Hey Edwin, good to hear it's working for you. I finally watched the TED Talk by the person I mentioned (Shirzad Chamine) and also got his book. Best I understand now, doing it for 10 seconds counts as 1 Rep (or 1 repetition) and we are supposed to intersperse these reps throughout the day. I set a soothing alarm for every hour and when it goes off I do a PQ Rep. There is also another one I read about - simply taking 3 deep breaths. I am trying that one too. Will keep you posted on my progress :-) p.s. Here's Shirzad's website if you would like to check it out: www.positiveintelligence.com/

In my case, my inner critic presents itself as an all-knowing , never wrong, yet scared and nervous guy who doubts everything I do, think or feel. I'll call him my Wiseguy Eddie for future reference.
Hey Edwin, awesome that you a good understanding of your inner Critic :-) Try this quiz, this is by. TED Speaker and Scientist Shiraz Chamine assessment.positiveintelligence.com/saboteur/ Mine was Hyper-Rational.
Great Avi!! All things considered. Follow this book( if possible) "The Miracle Morning" by Hal Elrod. Hal has structured the day into 6 components which he calls as S.A.V.E.R.S. This is just a 20% of the effort to get 80% of the results..................... Best one ever!!
Sam, thanks for the tip. The book was on Kindle Unlimited so just got it. I do end up with a long list of Books To Read though :-) But I am looking forward to reading this one.
@@PowerOnNow Thanks, AVI. You were the 1st Marine! of Power BI community who stepped in to help all of us in 2016/2017. Your DAX videos, Specific Focus on Modelling and definitely hours of PowerBI Marathon led all of us to understand PBI better...So, truly thanks for your guidance:)
Clarity of goals clear the mental roadblocks!! Power of One thing at a time reinforce by 20% of work to achieve 80% of results clears mental blocks instantly.
Sam! So good to hear from you. I couldn't agree more. For me though, it's a constant practice. I always have to remind myself...and if I feel that I have slipped, bring myself back to that focus.
I know. For such a long time "Psychology" was focused on getting people from the negative to zero. Thanks to folks like Martin Seligman, we have started focusing on how to go from 0 to +100!
Thanks Raul! It's been a bit of a journey to get comfortable with talking about something beyond Power BI :-) But it definitely is a huge boost for me that this resonated with you.
