PCM: Powertrain Control Module: This controls all, engine plus transmission. So its sort of an ECU + Transmission module all in one ECM (Engine Control Module): Is supposedly to refer to the computer module that ONLY controls the engine For example the old Jeep with the 4.7 pre-hemi, had 2. One ECM for the engine and a secondary board for the transmission. Hemi 5.7 has only PCM, since, it has the ecu and the transmission in the same board.
Thank you for saving my sanity. I’ve never had a car before that takes two adults, RU-vid, and several hours worth of tries and f bombs to get the seat positioned correctly and shut the car up. Omg-poor design is an understatement.
Is this different from what the mechanics do? We have our truck at the mechanics and they say they’ve tried regen two times and not working. He’s saying it’s a software thing and we’d need to update the software for $600 😢 I’m wondering if we try this if it will even work
Thanks for the reminder. Otherwise I would’ve put it directly underneath the mirror which would have looked terrible and possibly obstruct some Tesla function somehow
