The gate moves out to reduce friction so that the film canbe rewound and to get it away from the claw that pulls it through when projectiing to prevent sprocket (NOT track) damage and not to project the lens. Also that is not the correct take up spool the right ones are designed to automatically grip the film one was provided when the projector was sold.
The clock is still out of beet but only by a little bit. The movement needs to taken out of the case and properly cleaned and serviced so that it sounds really good again.
What a great video. Simple and easy to follow with the best success. I found my wonderful Smiths Enfield for £5, in my local charity shop, today. Now I can enjoy the beautiful ticking of this little great find. 😊
i got my dad's old cam which is a Panasonic NV-GS330, the battery pack charger is broken, is there any way i could charge it some other way? or if i can find a suitable adapter for the battery pack nowadays i would be really glad if you could help me 😥 great video btw👍🏻
Yes, we purchased gorgeous Papyrus art in Egypt. Now need to frame it and wondering if we should "Placed away from the backing for the purpose of ventilation" ... thank you for your video!
Very nice demo. I'm trying to find an owners manual. I have the same projector but it is a JC Penney model Type 515. Only difference are the name plates. In the 70s and 80s most the electrical gadget stuff with American company names was made in Asia or Europe and had minor modifications. Eumig made great projectors.
Thank you, but I still don't understand how the pendulum mechanism compensates for uneven surfaces by pushing the bar left and right. Is there some inner mech in that bar?
If the spool would be bigger it reaches right about the base of the projector the film will be automatically catched by the spool so no need to feed the film into the slot and risk of damaging it. I also have a Eumig aa S820 HQS sound projector and an Elmo k110-SM for silent movies and the Elmo can do both so regular 8 and super 8.
Hi there-many thanks to a very informative video! You have answered all my questions in one easy to follow presentation clear and precise and an exercise which I have search on U tube for a long time with no success until now-perfect for me! I recently bought a Garrard mantel Westminster chime clock 1935-40 from a auction fayre which came with the problems you have illustrated so as of today I’m now in a position to move forward with positive results with job satisfaction and enjoyment along the way! Once again many thanks Regards Peter N Harrison.
Hi, I have the exact same Sankyo as this one. everything seems to work, wide-tele works, it goes around but I can't seem to see anything through the viewfinder. Any idea why? Thanks in advance!
That lever always confused me. I always thought my clock was screwed up after putting it on silent. I would correct it by taking the hands off. Thank you for this!
Thank you for your film. I have my parents in law's projector to look at some very old family films. I remember using these projectors over 50 years ago, so v helpful to remind myself how to use it....thanks again.
I think the back cock may have needed adjustment on that clock, it's stopping even when in beat. Maybe the pallets are going too deep into the escapement wheel?
The momentum of pendulum and restoration of the finer details are breathtaking and worthwhile, since the intricacies are applied mechanically, precision is configurable, as it is a cup of tea and what consists both the cup and the tea. SMEs...thank you.
Great video covering exactly what I needed to know 👍 There’s the same clock in my local charity shop that I’m interested In buying. Now I know why the pendulum keeps stopping!! 😳
I have such a projector but without a (driving) reel (spool). The spindle diameter is 14mm. Where can I get a reel with a 14mm hole in the center as those that I see on internet have a smaller diameter ? I hope this makes sense; Thank you in advance for your answer.
Hi I just purchased one of those Enfield clocks a few days ago, but when it arrived it was missing the pendulum leader, any idea where I would get one, any help would be really appreciated many thanks.
These clocks do 'self correct' Set it chiming and leave it alone. It will put itself right. The self correcting lock is released on each 'quarter to' the hour.
