A very good attempt at something which isn't easy to do. Well done! I thought the graphics went well with the music. The piece was very quiet & occasionally I felt I couldn't really hear anything for a second or two. Maybe the piece could have had more light & shade to be more interesting & hold the listener's attention. 10 minutes seemed quite a long time! Perhaps there could have been longer instances or more repetition of the more interesting sounds? Should a musical piece have a beginning, middle & end like a written story? Lots to think about!
I agree - but I didn't know that before I tried it. The advertising wouldn't put people off buying it. But then it's too late!!! That's why I made the video.
This problem has been getting progressively worse for me past 6 months. Started off 'occasionally' crashing when pressing portal button, now 'usually' crashes. Sometimes it reboots, other times its a hard crash and needs to be switched off/on a the mains. One thing I've noticed - the sooner you press the portal button after waking the humax from standby, the more likely the unit is to crash, so try giving it a couple of minutes. I wonder if it is somehow related to the HDD being almost full, and the inability to defrag the HDD makes this worse over time. If you're happy to 'Format Storage' it'd be worth trying.
Thanks. Have you tried reformatting the HDD and if so did it fix the issue? Note, some other Apps work fine eg. Internet Radio, Flickr, Guitar Chords so does this indicate that it's a BBC problem?
Looking forward to seeing some more of your videos. You need more views. Have you heard of Promosm?? It could help you get your videos higher in the search results!!!
Thanks for watching. I created the video to show Gearbest that the phone was still "working" when I returned it in case Gearbest said I'd broken it, not to warn other people against buying this crappy phone from Gearbest (that was a secondary reason) but if nobody sees it there's little I want to do to improve that situation. Human nature is normally "buy something then if it goes wrong look at video footage to see whether there's a trend". But If it's the other way round ie. research then buy the only video content (often by the manufacturer/seller/"agent") one finds tends to be promotional stuff that makes the item look wonderful.
Dear Patrick. Did you achieve anything and how? I'm also one of the stupid people who bought it (it was bought for my father). They're really one of the shittiest services ever. Thank you in advance. Leon
Hi Leon. Luckily I bought through PayPal who I asked to claim the momey back from Gearbest. Eventually I got a full refund but only after lots and lots of pointless correspondence with Gearbest (before PayPal stepped in). Gearbest even wanted me to cancel the PayPal claim so they could satisfy me!!!! So, I would suggest getting PayPal involved if that avenue is open to you. I have bought several items from Gearbest in the past so I dare say Gearbest were stitched-up by the "makers" of the smartphone.
Hi Anna-Fae: Sure, there were lots of girls with red hair! Email me (see description) with the actual number of the photo(s) on the slideshow or the timeframe. Cheers Patrick
To tell you the truth I thought you and your *Count Dracula* friend were winding me up, but Sandra has since told me that Count Dracula hales from Romania . Doh. Just goes to show what I know lol B|
Hi David, Thanks for this. The prom was nearly a year ago! After a month had passed without interest I deleted the full slide show. It would naturally take me quite some time to find the images and re-build the slideshow so I'm thinking you probably don't want it enough to pay me to recreate it. Best regards Patrick
