I really never understand picking apart anything...what is this achieving. Love or hate...keep it to yourself!!! So petty, so unnecessary, so first world
I have worked for very rich people who wear clothing that shows no signs of their wealth!! We have the freedom to dress however we want. If it's not a person's taste, ok! Don't! But someone can afford her clothes and that's ok too. Maybe people really love her clothes but can't afford them. I know I love her design and WISH I HAD SOME. I can be inspired and make my own because I can sew too!!! I can't afford CHANEL either!!! But absolutely love CHANEL! ❤❤❤ THANKS AWESOME VIDEO ❤️🩹 THE 1800'S IS AMAZING.
I still have the black blazer!! And I will not let it go anytime soon. There were black jeggings that coordinated with it that I wore through. I have not found pants like that since and I am lost. Haha. Jaja.
A little late to this video but seeing you get a part of your arm tattooed that I personally am self conscious about really amped me up to continue my sleeve. Thank you for sharing with us!
This is monumental hypocrisy. You are wearing jewelry that steals the designs from the original artist, uses not only slave labour but also child slave labour. The jewelry you’re wearing rapes the earth in unsustainable mining practices and also uses children in those mining practices. Give me a break! You obviously can’t afford these clothes, I bet if they were in your price point you’d buy them, everything else you’re wearing ….. says you will.
Even eddie hall (strongest man in the world) cant lift you plus thw amount of makeup is insane 💀 you look like you clesred out the whole mcdonalds stock angel(mc)caviolet 💀
The clothes are fabulous overall...depending on how they are worn, you can look like a hobo, or a very chic, slightly kooky fashionista. I am a collector of some of the early linen items. They are truly unique. Yes, they cost a pretty penny, but having a couple of vintage dresses to be stepping out on the town, is heavenly. In other words, buy discriminately. Enjoy!
Very informative video. I justed started listening to Robin book GLITTER SAINTS !!! I do like some of her clothing style. I’ve been patching my jeans and Thrifting since I lived in Santa Barbara, California in 1974. I agree with you. The bird on the head is a little too much lol. I loved your own graphic T shirt design and you should’ve asked for 3000 or more ha ha
GIrl...I just watched this for the 2nd time... I must have left the room the first time... cause I am sitting here with tears falling from your discriptions & those facial expressions... But TBH, I may be high............LOL
Dust-Bowl chic! I like some of it but it's way too expensive! I make my own pants with patches but I would never wear a full outfit of her style. One piece I've made and style around it for fun.
No hay que enroscarse tanto. Si no te parece bien, no lo compres. Tan simple como eso. Somos libres de creer en nuestras ideas y vivir en consecuencia.
It's fashion, get over it, People need to stop misusing the word appropriation, yes, all you allies out there, this includes you. Learn more about world history and you will stop victimizing others. and see how much we are the same. How many societies have had the same ideas, but presented them differently? You diminish the work of others, when you keep putting one group above all others and making them responsible for taking care of everyone else. The exact opposite of what you say you are trying to achieve: autonomy in thought, deed and culture, is what you are promoting. By the way, continue taking care of yourself, AV, it's a good look.
I had a similar childhood to her and also empower myself now with wearing grunge and poverty empowered pieces that I buy but mostly up-cycle myself . It gives power to a helpless situation and I also became an artist probably as a result of my environment. I could cry about it or I could see it as what made me into who I am. I love old materials because I lack history older than my parents. I like lace because underneath is a fragile inner child who craves sweetness. I love bloomers and a concert tee because I’m gay but also feminine. When you grow up in extreme situations we learn to imagine and play dress up as adults. It’s play with your inner child who never got to play. The prices are crazy but try to make it and you see why. It’s art. It’s not just clothing. I make a lot of my own similar styled stuff though different -and trust - it’s not easy the handwork and materials. I thrift like a mofo for mine and then sew it all myself. I think when people attack the prices it’s because they don’t know what goes into it. It’s art. And the only people that want to wear it realize that.
You’re not the only one that had work taken down. I had a pretty cool space themed graphic design work that got shot down by RedBubble, which I felt the same you did. I did however, went back and did some modifications to my space themed work. After Uploading and a couple of changes, I never received any issues. Hopefully, it stays back on RedBubble without any issues.
LOL at your snark against Boomers. Boomers, you know, the people who ACTUALLY MARCHED FOR CIVIL RIGHTS. Good lord. Also it's interesting you missed their "Double Sided Leather Medicine Pouch Bag with Hand Beaded Whirling Log and American Flag" for $350 which is a literal swastika. Considering the Rich White Lady market they're going for that's a little creepy. Then again, those are the women marching for Palestine these days so it all comes together in an ugly little bow.
Robin is free to make whatever she dreams up. Same as Dolly Parton can sing anything she wants. Both have earned the priveledge of invoking their childhood woes by surviving them.
