hello sir, nice to meet you, I also work on the Indonesian railways, I want to ask sir, do you assemble mini locomotives like this yourself or does someone sell them? I want to build my own railroad too
Isn’t it funny to call a funicular a tramway ? With the overhead wires for the lights removed it looks even more like a cable car… Greetings from Switzerland 🇨🇭
Hey, thank you for commenting first of all. They have always been cable hauled from the very beginning but the poles used to power the lights and communication system on the trams. Replaced with batteries and walkie talkies now
Loved watching this. Been obsessed with these things since buying the Blackpool Branches line for TSW4 and enjoying driving them. Great to see it in real life, and amazing how good a job they did with the game.
Just come across this film. Went up on the tram last summer. Enjoyed the trip and the view's at the top were brilliant. Just think the direction signage in the town from the station could have been better.
This brings back memories, we spent a week in Colwyn Bay, one day, we drove to the Great Orm, caught the tram down to Llandudno, and back up, on the second stage of the journey it rained and the tram was open windows, Still a great way of travelling.
I think this video is one of the first times I made it up the Orme without it raining. I walked around the back of it recently, packed all of my waterproofs and it was so sunny and hot, typical
My memory of this is seeing an episode of The Two Fat Ladies (so 25+ years ago as of 2024) going up on the tram with a basket of food they cooked for a picnic and a Welsh male choir singing to them at the top.
Brilliant. I will need to go check this out. I've only became interested in diesel trains and trains in general over the last few years, mainly due to RU-vid. But I've got the but and I've sent away for my veterans id card so I can get a veterans railcard and get out and about. I'm a late starter being 56 but I enjoy it.
Beautiful countryside and relaxing sound of 1st generation dmu in motion. Very clever use of in cab and buffer cameras - gives very different perspective and can match the driver's control movements to the train's actions. Excellent! Thanks for sharing and look forward to more
Sitting there the proud owner of the golden nugget licence something I always wanted to do, sadly never moved near enough to a depot and applied like 100 times lol I wouldn't wanna do it now anyways the train cabs are probably like sitting in a plastic box with hardly a window you can open.
MY GRANDFATHER ROBERT CLARE BAXTER IS BURIED IN THE CEMERTARY OF THE CHURCH ON THE GREAT ORME. MY FATHER ROBERT DOUGLAS' ASHES ARE THEIR TOO. David Baxter.
Nice well balanced video, inside and out. Just the way I used to go to work..........slow and steady. Great to see Oakworth, fond memories of The Railway Children. Thank you very much.
In Blackpool, why don’t you give them the option to Travel on an old tram or one of the modern drums I know disabled people cannot get on the old trams. At least if you have the modern tram running as well, they have got the option for disabled people to get on that tram. It will make a very frequent service on the seafront in Blackpool around Fleetwood.
Sadly Lakeside said I would have needed to charter my own train if I wanted to film. Definitely not in my budget 😢 ELR is on my page, they let me visit a few years ago
