Broooo, I learned so much from the playthrough, my heart sank when I saw the game crash and it was near the end of the video, I knew right away what that meant. I would LOVE to see how you handle the final room, do you have a video of that anywhere?!
Hey man, I've been watching you a few years ago and accidentally stumbled upon you again today. Really loved watching your "Guide to victory" series. I suggest you play Baldur's Gate 3, as its Honor mode difficulty brings a similar tactical expirience as xcom legendary difficulty does, I think you'll enjoy it greatly.
@26:04 I think if you click the red icon next to the evac button it shows there weakness tab. It’s been awhile but that’s what you normally click to bring it up. Never mind chat got you I forgot this is twitch lol
Not sure what happened but after this episode it skipped the next 5 or 6 videos. Thankfully someone commented about it on that video which made me realize lol
I am playing without WOTC, and I am having a really tough time keeping the avatar project at bay, do you have any advice ? btw I was always dashing my soldiers until I run into a group of enemies, but after seeing your approach, I will start using it,
Just make sure you're always contacting towards the nearest blacksite/avatar site. I don't remember what I did in this series, but unlike WOTC which has covert actions to stalll the project, XCOM 2 only has avatar facilities and blacksites. Don't forget skulljacking the codex/officer also stall the project. You should have enough intel as long as you do all the missions.
I remember I was down to just a sharpshooter and a specialist as my last squadmates available to fight in my first retaliation and was able to kite both shapshifters while my sniper took them out over the span of 10 turns 😅
When i start a game its 4 rookies and only the trooper and captain pods, is there something ticked somewhere that adds the sectoid pod and gives you a skirmisher?
You have to disable "lost and abandoned" which is separate from the tutorial, it makes the first month or two semi-scripted: start with no hero unit, always get the scripted reaper and skirmisher mission, reaper gets added to your team and skirmiser is captured to rescue later. It also guarantees you start with the assassin as your first chosen and some other things.
Hey Ronar! Any chance you could do a video explaining the Specialist Hacking Stat and Hacking in general? I don’t see any videos that discuss it, and I actually like having 1/2 Hackers, and they can be super strong with some good planning!
I don't actually have a proper understanding of the hack vs hack defense formula so I can''t make a proper video, all I know is higher hack = good and lowering enemy hack def = good. In mod jam, I can see that the botnet skill is going to be amazing. Another insane boost to hack skill aside from the usual gremlin upgrade and skullmine is the Agent class as an officer. Agent class has almost double the hack stat of the usual gremlin hacking soldier. If you make him into an officer with 'lead by example', they'll give other gremlin soldiers a very solid boost to hack stat.
Hi everyone I would like to know how I can play these new updates on ps5 too?? I tried to go on the dlc war of the chosen but don't mind all these new things I see here on youtube
I don't think it'll be possible to play this on console since the mods were developed for the pc version. If you get the pc version you'd use AML launcher to install the mods you see in my modlist somewhere in the video.
Just set up all the mods! How do you toggle those priority numbers that you can place on each perk tile on the perk screen? Haven’t been able to figure that out yet …
Its a default part of LWOTC. Just need to left click the perks and it should auto label it. I'm playing on the beta LWOTC, but I think it should work with regular LWOTC.
@@Ronar222 OK I figured it out! There is a mod setting for the Community Promotion Screen, “Ability Tree planner screen”, that I had for some reason toggled to Off. All is good now, thanks! 😊
I usually only streamed on twitch and barely upload to youtube except for dankerdood's highlights and my old xcom2 playthrough. But I was off for about a year to get through life stuff. Back to streaming on twitch and youtube, and this is just the streams.
I know this video is a bit old, but I was completing legendary ironman and I finally got out of early game, but got unlucky rolls with chosen and died at the mission with the cannon. Basically how do you deal with Chosen and things which are technically only once per run like the final mission?
If you can reach the final mission, it shouldn't be too bad once you have max ranked troops. Psi troopers can make games a lot easier with their guaranteed damage, and they're easy to train too. I personally like to have 3 heroes + Ranger + Sharpshooter + Grenadier. Give the grenadier all the shooting perks and aim pcs + scope and they can reliably shred all the sectopods and gatekeepers you find. One thing I did in vanilla was put bluescreen rounds on the entire team. Sharpshooters with fanfire bluescreen can wreck sectopods once your gunner strips all of its armor with a chainshot.
I love this game so much, thank you for all your videos, Ronar. I watch your guides religiously. Others have the same plays but they don’t have the same charisma! Please keep doing what you do!
That rookie on mission 2. What a legend. Nailed like three 60% shots then panicked and got that trooper. Incredible. Why do RU-vidrs get all the luck 😂
