10yrs in the military and I never saw SF cats driving one of these or have one in their motor pool. It’s a nice looking humvee but that’s all it is. Not combat ready or special in any way
Ever heard of the KISS principal? You got way deep on things. Just needed to know major differences between trucks. 7 minutes on LED lights.... sheesh.
I wonder if they sold it and if so, how much did they charge or how much the vehicle went for anyways regardless, I’d love to have one, but I think they’re a little bit too rich for my blood as JR Ewing would say lol regardless, it’s a beauty👍 now I understand why some guys say they have love affairs with their vehicles😂❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍
Those were featured in The Mist (2007) alongside FV433s (standing in for M109s) and Chieftains (mocked-up as M1 Abrams) at the end scene where David encounters the military after the mist dissipates. I love that movie.
Having maintenence experience with these trucks, I can confirm that they are JUNK! Failure rate is atrocious and they are labor intensive. They can't hold a candle to the old M44, M39, M809 and M939 chassised trucks.
I was trained as armored reconnaissance specialist in 1971 on the old M114. Sure does bring back old memories. I'll bet I can still drive one I can just close my eyes and hear the sound. At 70 years old I probably couldn't even climb in it. LOL
