Hi, My earth is too far away to strip only a bit of the casing so would I need to strip the casing as far as needed to expose the earth wire and then cut off the excess red wire that isn't needed? And is it okay to have the earth way which is thin exposed. Should I just wrap it up with some casing or something? Would appreciate any help hugely.
It's fine to adjust the red wire to the size that you need it and then expose the earth I'd wrap it with insulation after but if you don't have that electrical tape will do never leave wires uninsulated
One last question, do you recommend getting a good quality primer and gloss black paint or is a Halfords one fine? I see you used ProXL etch primer just wanted to know if that’s necessary.
@user-cv5oz9ji3v the money you pay for quality products will be worth it the results you get with the cheap Halford products won't be nowhere near as durable or nice looking I learned that the hard way
Finally someone who shows how to hard-wire them and not just stick them and plug to the charger plug. Next thing I want to learn is how to add a physical button to activate and deactivate them
Is it bad to leave the interior folded when taken out? Just pulled mine out in a 2004 hyundai to deep clean it but the steam cleaner isnt gonna arrive on time now and my whole car is apart and i dont have a place to store it flat other than in the car itself. lol hope you still check these thanks.
Not bad at all but it might get a little creased but no big deal if you just lay it flat again sorry about the slow reply didn't see this until today 😊
Yes all I would do is just check that a few other slots on the same line showed 12v volts and if they did that means yours are wired that way round I believe your car is a European one?
Great Video ! few days ago, I purchased Vland Audi A4's style projector-based headlights for my Polo MK5 (6C) & I am currently using the stock halogen bulbs, which I plan to replace next month. I have a question: Does any H7 LED operate for both low and high beams? or we need to buy any specific ?
that light feature on the key is interesting, I've never seen that before. if you forgot where you parked at night just keep spamming it and follow the light show xD. Good vid :)
do those led kits save your color/brightness, etc settings or do you have to open the app everytime to set them up? i want to do a OEM style effect. hardwired it in, put a switch on the dash and just turn on and off after setting up the first time. is that possible?
seem's like a lot of hassle for something that should be simple as its classed as plug and play. Other then these headlights for the polo 6R mk5, which others can you recommend that does the same thing and is plug and play or doesn't have to be plug and play but be fairly simple to install??
@@The_journeyy I seen a comment from "Only Mods" where a viewr asking about the low and high beams light quality compared to stock and the youtuber said that the low beams are really good but the high beams are bad compared to stocks. which is very surprising.
@@The_journeyy which LED bulbs and housing fit the vland headlights without cutting it up like you did or do you have to do it for it to sit right? how is the low beam and high beam quality on these as we out in the uk use the low beams more then high. im considering these lights but need more info if possible please.
@@The_journeyy i'm trying to find a good pair of sequential indicators same as yours with the smoked lens but no idea which are good, as they all look exactly the same, how much did you pay for yours at the time? nd can you provide a new up to date link .
I connected the earth to a metal point on the car using a screw if you have a look at this video I show how I did that in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qze48ou2PTI.html
