The show was great. The Piece Hall has, over the last couple of years, really established itself as a great place to gig and to watch gigs. Great shame that the management has recently started to treat the paying audience like cattle on entry: searching the tiniest bags and confiscating small bottles of cosmetics etc; insisting on everyone being in the venue a full hour before start; and not taking legal tender in payment at the bar. Notably, comments are disallowed on all Piece Hall videos.
I wish Ms Jones weren't so reluctant to release new material. Yes, some albums aren't as good as others, but come on... it's 16 years since 'Hurricane'.
She is so fabulous 👌 imagine working with a living legend like Grace, you'd never stop laughing. I remember when this song came out, I always had to turn it up real load, always.
She's one of the greatest musical legends of the last century. I've seen her perform 3 times and each time was spectacular. So sad she hasn't continued recording.
Totally agree about people talking and shouting non stop. Made it impossible to enjoy the chilled music. Spoilt what should have been a great night. I did tell some idiots to shut up but got the expected response.
I was there, it was incredible. I cant believe how many people were talking through it. I was near the front and people were having full on loud chats. Very annoying.
Agreed. I commented about this earlier. We left early because of those people. Why bother going to a chilled concert just to talk all the way through it. Shameful behaviour.
FANTASTIC! Wish I’d been able to go. When I tell people I’ve been to see her or that I’m a big fan it amazes me how many say oooh I find her scary! I’ve NEVER found her scary and this shows her skill, humour and joie de vivre perfectly. Thanks for posting it ❤
Was one of the best shows I’ve been too, this was an absolute treat my two favourite songs of hers, you best believe I ran straight back from the bathroom when I heard her come back on!! The way the whole place fell silent when she started La vie en rose was breathtaking and powerful, thank you for recording I got a little too lost in the moment to record anything!!
Four songs were ultimately removed from the track listing: "The Key to Funky" (co-written by Jones and Diane Pernet in the late '80s), "Body Phenomenon", "Sister Sister" and "Misery".
Thank you for this, Debbie looks and sounds amazing and Tommy Kessler is always eye candy as well! Love you guys: Debbie, Clem, Matt and Tommy! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
