I do agree wit him. I didn’t do my research when I went to get my bridge. The dentist sand out my perfect teeth around it and I wanted to cry when I saw it! 😡 Now, instead of replacing 1 tooth, I’ll have to replace 3 if something were to happen. It’s so stupid.
Tell me some5hing I don't already know. Yes, I agree, but I don't know anybody, my family members have all died, or are gone. What can I Do? Thanks anyway
have five cavies and one broken tooth, with Multiple sclerosis I cannot sit with my head cocked back, it's abhorrent, just taking care with my broken teeth, NO procedures, keep em clean and will never see you~
We wish him well. Runion no longer owns this practice. Sold to Dr. Whitaker. Runion's past challenges may have been the reason he bowed out. Do your due diligence before booking an appointment. The practice changed (not for the better) on the heels of Covid-19 and now, sadly, due to Runion's departure..
I went this route, had to have the tooth extracted though. Not cheap, but worth it. $4700 for surgical extraction and implant. Abutment was $800 at my Dentist, then the crown another $1600. $7,100 total of which I was responsible for $5,200 with my dental insurance plan. 🦷👀
how about maryland bridges? i have 2 missing lateral incisors and im getting braces and the doctor said to close the spaces but my mouth is very small already and i dont want it to get smaller and i have a bit crowding at the bottom which will mean they will want to take out one of my teeth or more and i dont want that and im too young to have implants anyways will it be ok having 2 maryland bridges? please give me advice
I didn’t have much choice as my sinus cavity is so low they couldn’t do a implant but mine just broke in half after 5 years and I’m over dentist I have gone into major debt and I’m losing my teeth still
I’m in the process of a dental bridge because I was not a good candidate for implants on my upper teeth. From the decay my sinuses are too low and I would need a sinus lift due to shrinking jaw bone then MAYBE I would have been able to get implants. I still was not a good candidate for that surgery due to numerous chronic illnesses so my dentist recommended the bridge for upper and I’m still doing implants on lower molars. It was the best choice for my case. The bridge will just need to be very well taken care of once in place (I have the temporary on currently)
I have a bridge that would have lasted much longer had I not anxiously chewed on Pearson's Caramel Nips 6 months ago or so....in between meals. Everyday....I lament over my actions. This bridge would've gone to the grave with me. I've had this bridge for 36 years.....expertly prepped by a good old-fashioned general dentist, then....expertly made by the best ceramist in town. Back in the day...when dentists weren't afraid to do all of their own work....endo...extractions...crowns and bridges....inlays and onlays. Now? Everyone is a damn specialist...with special prices! I am going to replace this bridge....with another bridge.. Shame on the money-grubbing dentist....that dares to try...to talk me into....a metal rod....going through my jaw....etc...etc. Now??? to find an Ethical, Conservative, Fairly Priced Dentist in my area!!! Tough job. I've got my work cut out for me....choosing...one that is just not out to screw me over!!! ps....I have already thrown Thousands...out the window....dealing with the WRONG dental practices. I've had some of the worst!! It's upsetting!
During 2020 all of a sudden I had to have a tooth removed and then that year I had three more and was planning on doing implants. I got the first stage done with the cadaver bone on the stump. The last tooth he did he took the wrong freaking tooth out! and I had to go back within that same hour get poked again with needles and have the correct tooth take it out and he tried to charge me for it! I am absolutely terrified to go back I have not gone back and now I have huge gaps in my mouth, grateful they were all molars, so I have a rough time eating and speaking sometimes I'll even choke on my own saliva or food 😢I am too scared to even look for anyone to do anything because I'm afraid that they all talk to each other I'm blacklisted or something... so I was looking at videos on bridges the good and the bad I'm glad I saw your comment! Good luck finding a dentist to help you out! Damn those caramels! 😫🤦♀️
@@mamabearthrives7815 I can identify. Poor Us! I feel it's appropriate to say..."so sorry for your loss!!! And, yes, those Damn caramels!! Pearson's! Dear Lord! At this point...I don't let ANYONE touch my mouth...unless...I feel a great degree of certainty...in the prognosis...treatment....care shown, and skill. Not easy. Stay AWAY from the mills, and beware otherwise. Not too long ago, I was utilizing an independent...so to speak...dental office, in which they accepted 'dental discount plans'. I was thrilled...that it wasn't a chain. I thought...I had hit the jackpot....and could then....comfortably take care of my dental woes. WHAT a LESSON! They have to make up for it somewhere, right? Before I knew it....one tooth that needed endodontic treatment, and a crown....then....turned into....special xrays...where I had to travel to obtain, and pay big bucks....along with an implant...then a crown..instead of what I truly needed. Then...they wanted to give me 3 more root canals...and break...my lower bridge in half....place implants...and a new bridge...Can you imagine!! As I recall....the ...for lack of a better word...dentist...hardly even examined my mouth. Well, not in the traditional sense...no charting....no poking for pockets, etc.....They wanted to ...literally....make me a dental cripple...then....SHODDILY reconstruct. On top of THAT...the endodontist...was just coming back to work...part-time....after a nervous condition....which he relayed to me.... I felt so uncomfortable with ALL of it...told the dental/'owner...just that...paid my tab in full...and scooted out of there. NOTHING...but major disappointments....and money out the window....all throughout.... What's sad....is that I have had other horrific experiences throughout the years. I can't believe I still have teeth in my mouth. Best of luck....and beware...beware!!! Just terrible!!
I have had a dental bridge cemented on 2 trimmed real teeth for 30 years and my dentist has said it is only now that is showing decay. How can I have an implant in the middle if the 2 other teeth are trimmed or should I replace the bridge with the same as the old?
My bridge cost $5000 plus a root canal $600. Now the back molar that hold my bridge is sensitive when I bite !! Its been only 5 days I hope the pain in temporary. I also have an implant and I never have any problem with it!
Yeah? So tell me how can i replace missing teeth if i cant have implants cause of my health situation? I only satmy i have one inplant in future and i must delete him cause of huge infection, implants have problems too.
It's quite obvious why a dentist wouldn't recommend a bridge. Implants are much more profitable - DUH!! And what a dentist won't tell you is that dental implants have the highest failure rate of any medical procedure. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nnhjAbdLodY.html
I was 20 years old when the doctor made for me the bridge..one of the most bad design ever ..i lost 2 teeths instead of one ...and know i have inflammation under the bridge and dont have money to implant .. Now i am asking the doctor ..can the doctor kill the nerve without removing the bridge ?
I am so sorry I just got a bridge put on. The food gets under my bridge and it feels awful. I was told I do just have to use a special floss to get under there every time I eat. on top of that did not come fully down only a quarter of the way down on the anchor teeth. What are my options? I think it’s an inferior job and I don’t wanna be stuck with it.
My experience before i even get to the video.. i get food under my bridge often.. have to use special flosser.. typically though i cant fkn get to it!! So now today i have an infection underneath and it must be closed because no matter what i do i cant get rid of it.. i know all the typical ways.. and this was from the best dentist ive seen in 42 years.. id listen to this guy if hes on par with this !
So true my mother went every 6 months to her dentist but told they can't see under the bridge if there is a decay or not they just did her cleaning and collect her money 13 years later that's exactly what happen to her.
I just got my 16 Extractions since I was 8yrs old (the last time I saw a dentist!) at $0 cost, that's all I had left. I'm a 53yr male in TX & I haven't smiled since I was 8 years old! (Without covering my mouth) I'm healing now & will go in for permanent dentures impressions next month Feb 20th. I wish I could get implants but he said that I didn't have enough bone up top. I've been told my bottoms wouldn't fit right by 2 different Dentist. I got plenty of bone on bottom but my insurance doesn't cover implants, like they told me they did! I live off SSI/DI. So maybe for 2025 I'll sign up for a different advantage plan that covers snap in's. However, I'm curious what types of dentures are made? Like, bottom level, med or top tier dentures? Or is there just a 1 acrylic set? I can't find any info on different types of dentures, besides implants or partials. My insurance said they'll pay for whatever dentures my Dentist has made or sends off to a lab. I just pay a $575 deductible.
