It's taken me years to find this song! I had the title wrong! This was from 73? The melody kept playing on my head so I knew I wasn't imagining it. So glad I found it!❤️

"Button Up your Overcoat." Out of the Dark Ages of Music, Ruth Etting Top Song in 1929. This song is a blast, with changing Lyrics in later decades. Charted at #15 in 1929. Also #3 for Helen Kane, #5 for Paul Whiteman and His Orchestra, and #11 for Fred Waring's Pennsylvanians (in 1929). The Lyrics are a lot of fun, Be-Bop song. Prior to Elvis, Glen Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington. I can't imagine anything prior to Gershwin; except: Greensleeves. (1580) A Time-capsule of good advice for each generation.
The first time I saw them was at The Roxy, possibly this show. It was a show to celebrate the release of the first Bangles e.p. And they played two. A great pairing of bands. I see both bands a bunch of times after this.
Met these guys after a gig in my hometown sat in their van with them and my friend Jackie max gave me his socks and my mate Jackie was given his ring.they were so lovely to us. Thanks guys xx
Great little sax break. And bless the gal in the leopardskin one piece, she was totally committed. The lead singer far too good looking. However this live in a small venue would still be so good.
