I run a small laser cutting workshop in Mochdre in North Wales with two laser cutting machines. Most of my work is making model railway products which I sell under the brand Torri Laser. I am also a keen skier and manage a couple of trips to the Alps every year. I've started my channel with skiing videos from the last 2 years of trips and I am going to make a few how to videos on laser cutting techniques.

Thank you for these videos. I can sense your nerves but you carry on anyway. I’m a beginner but with a fear of slopes. I’d love to be able to ski like you and do these runs soon. We are back to Avoriaz in Jan 25.

@DebbiePlummer-xn3kr Thanks, we're going back in January 2025. I found the runs on the Swiss side quieter so looking forward to exploring some more.

We had a great time. Avoriaz got quite busy in places and we found the Swiss side round Les Crosets and Morgins was much quieter but you will need a full Portes du Soleil area lift pass to do that but it's worth it.

I live there, for such a big resort "there aren't many people". If you go to the coast of Chavanette or Conche there are much fewer people than Avoriaz center. Looking at the quality of the snow on the Avoriaz site, it always corresponds to reality. During a powder day in May I was even able to ski alone on the slopes for almost an hour

Hi, we were there last week, came back just before the storms in the UK. We had a couple of very wet days the rest were fine. I used snow forecast to check the weather, it seemed accurate.

We were there the third week of March. Sportgastein was really good but the snow I Bad Hofgastein got very slushy in the afternoon. This year I'm going first week of March which should be better and colder. I'm in the France Alps now and very snowy and cold.

Hey! Great video. What part of March did you go in? Deciding whether end of March is too late for Gastein as it's quite a low resort.

We went the third week of March. The mornings were OK but the snow was very soft in the afternoon. Sport Gastein was fine as it's much higher but it's a bus ride of about 20 mins.
