It is remarkable the relationship these coaches have with the players- the coaches understand the psyche of each player and individualizes their approach so each player realizes their potential.
Why do these "reporters" always ask these players their opinions of other players? Seems like you're totally uninterested in the player you're talking to.
I love that guy! He is so honest, open and transparent. He doesn't dance around any question. I hope he has a great career at Purdue and won't be surprised if he does.

A relatively “deep bench” seems to have grown more and more important during the evolution of college sports. Due to the intensity and speed of the game, fatigue is a compromiser- a fatigued player may involuntarily slow down, become distracted during critical series. Rotating players in keeps good players playing their best and affords teammates valuable time to contribute. What a change in philosophy for the sport, the coach and players.
Interesting comment about lean mass vs “fat” mass. Certainly the reassessment of diet to include more protein or more appropriately nutritional may balance w/ weight room exercises has helped is key.
The Croatia team that the USA beat in 92 had Drazen Petrovic, Toni Kukoc, and Dino Radja, all 3 are in the Naismith Hall Of Fame. Plus 2 Euroleague greats in Sojan Vrankovic and Arjen Komazec. So that team was no slouch. The Lithanians did indeed have Sabonis and Marciuliunis. Germany had Deltlef Schrempf and Brazil had the legendary Oscar Schmidt.
Well the B1G schedule is not adjustable. The ND game has been on the books for years. That leaves 2 games. Oregon state might even be an old contract- didn't they play them in the Hazel Era? So one buy-in game in ISU.

Are our beloved boilermakers going to be able to actually compete this year w/ the new schools? I am very concerned if the Football team can even be competitive in this new conference
