Thank you for this! No nowhere on the manual does it say the red ring is a replacement 😑 I was doing what everyone here on the comments was doing. Thank you
Nooooo.... this should be called mashed potato soup. I prefer mine diced BEFORE cooking with some milk or cream cheese to make it more creamy. This is different though, I'd still try it. My son even likes a dollop of sour cream on top.
I make my own chili powder, the base peppers are Habanero and Serrano peppers. And every pot of chili I make I add some anaheim peppers that I have grown, deseeded, and froze and put in bags of 3 halves that I defrost and chop up and throw in the pot And I always add beans to it.
I made it and used an alternative for soy sauce, Liquid Aminos, and I think that's why mine wasn't so good. It was edible, just not great. Next time I'll use real soy sauce for sure...
I've been making no milk tater soup for 20 years. I put in lots of butter and spices. I'm not vegan but your recipe is similar but I don't mash my potatoes.
I accidentally forgot to put the seal in before cooking ! 😱 I had it set for three minutes and it never beeped ! The pin was down and hot steam coming out . I figure I better unplug it and wait 6 to 8 hours before I open it and hopefully it’ll be safe !
Nice looking recipe, it's next on my list! I wonder if it will rival "Mom's Chops" with baked potatoes. I remember the chops cooking (simmering?) for quite a while in a big Iron skillet with a wonderful flour gravy. Mom's chops are among my fav childhood memories - I just now recalled sopping up left over gravy with bread . I have yet to duplicate "Mom's Pork Chop Dinners" - maybe your recipe will do the job.
This woman is an effective teacher,,,enthusiastic . Notice how she pleasantly uses body language, probably un aware of it, reflects real talent. BTW I may try this recipe, watching many videos on Onion soup.
Just a tip: All meats should be cooked using natural pressure release. Quick release can make them tough and dry. Will be trying this recipe for sure. Thanks!
You should never check doneness by cutting open the meat. Always check with a meat thermometer. I use a digital one. I loved the presentation and the recipe.
I love this video so much! I haven't made tortillas in many years, it's time to fix that! even if mine look like stars instead of circles hahahahaha Thank you Debra! Super thumbs up!! My mom always tested the heat with droplets of water, have you done that? if they "dance" it's hot enough, if they fizzle and dissolve right away it's too hot. And of course if they don't even move, it's not warm enough
Some people will say 25 minutes is enough and even the cooking chart I bought from Instapot said 20-25 minutes should be enough time. I found this not to be the case if you like soft beans. After 25 minutes and two hours of "keeping warm" the beans were firm enough to break cleaning with your hand. Eatable, but not to my taste. 50 minutes is the shortest you should cook and one hour makes them perfect.
@@TheLastMinuteCook I did once I had the right amount of time. I loved your recipe, the time thing was my fault, or my lack of experience with my new Instapot. Thank you for what you do.
I just put my yogurt in the fridge. Can't wait to eat some in about 10 hours. I incubated it for 9 hours & wanted to incubate it for another hour. Do I just set up the yogurt timer a second time to add more hours? Thank you.
@@TheLastMinuteCook The texture was great! I used the BOIL setting a 2nd time because the temp was around high 170sF when it hit boil & turned off automatically. If I want to add 2 hours to incubating time, do I just reset it? I don't think I can do it any other way. I made a frozen raspberry compote to mix with it. Thank you.
So glad I found your video! I watched a few IP videos for making yogurt but yours is the only Ultra I have seen. So grateful. The other videos did give me the principle of making yogurt in the Instant Pot, though. I will be making mine tomorrow. So excited. I've had a 3QT LUX for about. a year and just upgraded to the ULTRA 6QT. Thank you, you, thank you!!!! Do you just run your pot under really hot water to make sure it's sanitized, or do you actually use the sanitize button before you start?
I tried this recipe and liked it very much. I decided to do it again with 2 modifications 1) using ground pork rinds (0 carbs)) instead of almond flour and (2) using a 1/8 tsp of xanthum gum. It turned out great. Thanks again for a quick and tastey recipe.
I made these last night! Can’t wait to have leftovers today for lunch! I added in a small onion and sliced my garlic instead of crushing it...this recipe is awesome and I can’t wait to try it on ribs!
Just got a chance to watch this video and I’m so glad I did, several great ideas, especially the Brown Rice Noodles, the Peanut Butter Sauce and your Soy Sauce substitution
Wow....some of the best chicken I’ve eaten....1 hr was a little long...might check in 45-50 minutes next time but will use this a lot. THANK YOU. For my 2lb package (5 drumsticks) I did use extra Tablespoon of oil but followed maximum spice for the rest.
Here is a thought that I had before I watched your video and I am wondering if it would work. I was going to saute my bone-in pork chops and then freeze them then when I take them out of the freezer put them in the instant pot and finish cooking them I am single and eat one pork chop at a meal and also I'm looking for very simple recipes so I will be checking out your other videos thank you
