So happy to hear that! Know you are absolutely welcome to reach out to me any time for help at support@triumphantheart.com. I work with students one-on-one, if you wish :)
OMG!!! The information you have shared here has given me so much hope!! I actually bought one of your books regarding my dissertation a few years ago when I first started my doctoral program and this video reminded me that I need to re-read it because it didn't make sense to me back then but I am in my second dissertation class where I have to turn in my project plan to get my topic picked up for approval and I felt like I was drowning!! One of my classmates shared this video and it's like all the lights came on inside my brain!! I am going to watch the other ones because this one was so wonderful and straight to the point!! Thank you so much!!!
This was very encouraging! Thank you so much for providing this guidance Dr. White. I am a visual learner, so I especially appreciated the photos you shared on how to organize research and sources.
I am so glad I am watching your video at the start of my journey. I am committed to completing within the timeline (no struggling/losteness emails to my professors). I enjoyed seeing the colourful sticky notes wall, and here thinking about which wall to convert. I already have two days in a week blocked out, however, I see you recommend three, I will see how that goes. What I know now, I have a better way to use the two days - get busy searching sources, and start feeding my Literature Review Matrix. 5 quotes per source, wow. Thank you Dr. Guy.
I just discovered you in May 2024! Will be going through your videos. What you said about what this dissertation is preventing me from (spending quality time with my wife) really hit deep. Thank you for putting out this awesome instructional video content!
Sir, with due respect, choosing a topic based on what researchers think we need to know is why the world is so screwed up. Do they want to know why Universities are not providing the value? Do they care about the developing world? I am not sure if that CRITERIA for problem selection is such a great idea
Thanks for your thoughts. Not all research must originate in what researchers recommend to study. However, for a dissertation or thesis, best to stick with a topic that is grounded in questions supported by other researchers: much easier to convince your advisor/chair when you are studying something the world is asking for.
So happy to hear! Thank you for that! We have about 300 hours of long form here if you want to really go deep: www.thedissertationmentor.com/store/oeL9WYdw
Thank you for the video, Dr. Guy. Do you think reviewing Wilber's "AQAL Theory" or Bass's full range of leadership models would help demonstrate how religion can be used for statecraft?
Both are applicable! Wilber’s AQAL is kind of a theory of everything. Bass’ Full Range of Leadership Model has a “leadership” spin. I have much more in depth videos about theoretical and conceptual framework here: www.thedissertationmentor.com/store/oeL9WYdw
Thanks. it's insane how i can form the most advanced and nuanced ideas yet struggle to put together a paragraph. This has been helpful and I'm grateful :)
❤❤❤ What if there may be books written but no definite results to support the topic. And what if there is now a new break through in the said field.. What's the probability of redefine the said topic to eliminate the before mentioned topic and create a new era of subjected facts to perceive another disclosure pertaining to such field of learning.
Dr. White, I have started on my Ed.D. in HE Administration and the assigned dissertation mentor suggested your videos - this is SO helpful. I am watching all of your videos to help me through this process!
simple to the detail. Thanks. I wish to ask if using multiple models in a master dissertation is okay? The dissertation topic cut across difference sectors and domains like tech, business, etc
