A middle-aged man inspired by itchy Boots, C90 Adventures and Nathan the Postman to name a few, to get out there and ride. Also helps having mates who have been riding for decades.
Did the Rookie to Rider course with BMW Motorrad, and my first bike is a G310GS
OUCH!!!! Well done for your caring attitude by 1. Sharing widely and 2. Laughing like a drain. It’s what friends are for😂😂😂 Great work Centurion! Hope D has finally recovered ❤️
I was enjoying that right up until the inevitable rest stop. You try to help those coming towards you by doing the inherently dodgy rut swap. When your bike dev to rest they’re just sitting there. Bad form. Very bad form. I’m excusing your riding buddy because I know he was unable to move for laughing hysterically 😉😉😉😂😂😂 But those you tried to help? Very bad.
I've just subscribed to your channel after hearing Exeter Rider mention you on his latest ABR vid. I think the road between Crediton and Bickleigh is rubbish with a sunken metal manhole cover on most corners. In contrast the Bickleigh/Cowley Bridge road is a cracker. I've been brainwashed by your background music so much so that I was humming it in front of the telly earlier on. My wife asked what the tune was and I said "Fu..ed if I know'.
I have a tricity 300 too, but seeing you riding that and your comments made my day😂. Hope you enjoyed it, and next time, try the yamaha niken so you can pull the clutch 😂😂😂
I don't really care about reviews and hype on the internet, you have to ride a motorcycle yourself. If I think it's good for me, I don't care if others think it's bad and the same goes the other way round. I'm buying a product for myself and not for others.
Thankfully not another gushing, glowing review for once. It seems folk are far too keen to jump on people who hold a different opinion! A personal perience is subjective. More reviews like this are needed. I have ridden numerous motorbikes and frequently find the reviews bestowing god like status are biased. And who wouldn't give great reviews when you are flown to exotic locations on ocassion at the manufacturers cost. If you give a negative review the jollies stop.
Yeah, I've hidden a few replies from people here who took objection to me not liking them. Others I've responded to with 'okay, happy to watch a video of you on the bike explaining why you like it so much'. I've had no responses to this, so I get the feeling that most people not liking this video don't actually own a 450!
First off my observer had running lights which makes it extremely difficult to spot when they are blinking. After a couple of missed turns on my first 2 rides he turned the running lights off and no more issues since then. There is no need to make it more difficult than it needs to be imo
I too was impressed with the Trans Alp. As much as I’d love to have one in the garage, I refuse to buy the only color in the USA , matte black. It doesn’t hold up.
whats an offroad bike meant to feel like? also makes me laugh how you say i wont run it offroad..its no trans Alp...but you havent ridden it off road lol. and dont judge a new bike with a snatchy throttle as most new bikes are like that to get thru euro 5 and its nothing a tune wouldnt fix or even one of the free ones cfmoto will release.
An off road bike is a bike I think “I’d take that off road.” I wouldn’t with this bike. If you’ve got many miles off road on yours would love to hear the pros and cons.
That BMW g310 gs was better suited (in terms of weight) for the trails then the african twin or R1200 GS. the baby gs only weights 170 kg whilst the African weights over 232 kg!
Why has nobody commented on that small diameter metal bar above the instrument cluster? Far to s MN all diameter to be of any use! I have a 2024 Versys and can not find any use for it at all!!
They were great ! The chaps doing the demo ride were “ The Sidecar Guys “. They went round the world with a scooter and sidecar. So they really know their stuff and really nice blokes too. Lovely video!
Good review. You were nicer about it than me. The moi think about it the more I feel like it is better than a bullet except that I didn’t like the handling or the idiot lights or the riding position. But better enough to swap out? Noooo. That says more about the goldie than the bullet😩
Thank you so much for your kind words. We have been lucky to have lots of “experiences” over the years. But the experiences we have now are just as wonderful thanks to the likes of you, Darren and @exeterrider and many many other bike enthusiasts I’m meeting. It’s why I decided I had to go to the Dragon Rally as well. You meet the nicest people on bikes. Most are as mad as a box of frogs but lovely to know. Anyway… loved the review and even more so as we got to experience so much of the route. Did the panel of your lid catch the wind?
Nice video , have done 13500 km on my 23 Versys 650 , it gets better as it gets run in, gearbox smooths out , riding in traction 2 mode is best for commuting in low speed situations. Traction 1 mode allows wheelies with a bit of intervention , traction off , wheelies are free form . It’s good on smooth gravel but the small 17 inch front wheel doesn’t like proper off road . Great twisties bike , great touring solo bike .
How can you judge a motorcycle while only riding at 10 mph and sayinh gas no power? How can anyone taking you seriously when you compare this 450 to a Versys? Which versys? what a clown Did you compare the 450 with the Translap? That is hilarious You dont have to like at all the 450 mt but next time apply a little common sense
I reckon you would complain if you won the lottery. No affiliation with cf moto but you hated that bike before you even got on it ridden it 3 metres and was complaining .
