What was more horrifying about this scene compared to 97 was the fact that when it starts, the music stops and there’s just silence as he does the deed. To me this makes it even more disturbing
This piece of music is amazingly fitting for not just any adaptation, scene, or arc, but literally all of Berserk. I left this playing earlier while I read through the climax of Conviction and beginning of Millenium Falcon, it's totally perfect.

I will be playing this for my senior recital. Berserk has saved my life countless times. Miura truly created a masterpiece. Whenever I feel myself slipping into a dark place, I come back to Berserk.
Hirasawa gets a lot of praise, but to me Sagisu Shiro is an equal for sure. Def deserves more credit. mans work history is insane and his scores are iconic
This song just perfectly captures a melancholic optimism and hope for the future. Perfectly fits the scene where it plays, right after the Band rescued Griffith and is planning to recuperate with Guts as their leader. It also fits Berserk's current situation, with Miura having passed but his legacy yet continuing. If the feeling of fighting back tears and trying to remain hopeful was a song, this would be it.
