Its really mind boogling how both brachy abd s zig stick like a glue in this quest. It almost feels like you fight in an arena. Good thing i used hbg, so it wasnt that hard, still. Compared to dual tiggy in mhfu which isnt necessarily harder but definitely much more annoying cus theres dung bomb didnt do jack shit unlike dung bomb in 4u (i had to wait for both tiggy to be separated lol)
Awesome run. I really love endgame Gunlance in sunbreak (even though it strays pretty far from the weapon's origins). Between redirection and reverse blast, you're super elusive and Heaven-Sent just ties the whole thing together. You put on a really great showcase with it here, well done.
How also can you blast dash when you don't have reloaded shell. There is a part that, when there is zero shells then you blast dash, one shell suddenly appear and it is reloaded but for some reason you didn't reload. That is quite confusing, can I get an answer Sir Gnar.
Hey, this should answer both of your comments. It's 'Reverse Blast Dash', a silkbind attack you unlock in the Sunbreak DLC. It gives you i-frames at the beginning of the attack to evade moves/knockback and reloads a shell if you do not have one loaded.
Not exactly. Those skills do come with some negative effects like reduced defense, draining health, and reduced def/ele res but having them doesn't guarantee you will get one shot. In this run we use Moxie+adrenaline dango skills to survive a one hit move once (moxie) and then get a large raw damage boost from being at 1hp adrenaline). Dereliction then continually drains our hp keeping it at 1hp for the duration for the hunt. So any attack could have killed us in one hit during this run, but those skills independently don't guarantee getting one shot.
@@gnaryamanobe in general is it possible to build around the drawback (like say stacking def and element res on MoH) to reduce the drawbacks or am I just better with a standard crit build?
Not advisable to stack def and ele res to compensate for MoH drawbacks, generally you see people use guard/evasion skills to compensate instead. Better with standard crit build if you're finding MoH too uncomfortable to play with.
@@KhangNguyen-ij4xh Is completely possible and rather easy actually, but is it worth it? Not even a little bit. To mitigate dereliction all you need is a gourmet fish and you're done, you can get kushala blessing + recovery up/speed and forget about the drain for a bit but since kush blessing got nerfed the drain creeps up eventually and lastly you can use recovery up + bloodrite. As for MoH while in red scroll you can negate the def penalty with a single lvl 4 def deco, just forget about reducing the negative element it gives while playing on blue scroll, you're not going to be able to get high enough elemental resistance even if you slot all of them + max def skill and eat for dangos with ele res, is simply not possible unfortunately, you can however turn all of the negatives to 50 with dragonheart but that kinda ruins the point of playing MoH in blue scroll in the first place unless you use it for dragon but is probably not worth doing that. Edit: I forgot about bloodlust/frenzy and berserker but there's no real need to get skills to counter bloodlust since the drain is so slow, I would recommend to carry some nulberries the thing heals your red HP bar once is cleared anyway which funny enough has a synergy with berserk since you're permanently on red HP it will fully heal you is perfect for ranged weapons and maybe DBs, don't bother with any skills that reduce HP drain on these two, getting speed eater is the best way to make both of them easier to run and I guess the same applies to dereliction since all you need is fish.
As a gunlance fan. This was well edited and so fun to watch. You have gone much further than me in this game. I hope you play other past mh games too. What were those final armor weapons? I recognised setlas gl and bits of diablos. Then switched to brachydios stuff. Thanks for your time
Thank you so much. I've been in the process of playing through even older MH games with GL but still primarily working on 4U because I haven't finished the last special permit. The Gunlance was Berserk Tetsucabra not Seltas with Diablos and Gravios armor, then swapped to Brachydios armor with Gravios gloves and the Ancient shard line Gunlance.
Hi, so Shelling type determines how many shells you have by default: Long has 4, Wide has 2, and Normal has 6. Equipping the 'Loadshells' armour skill gives an extra shell as well. Hence why, I have 7 shells on my normal type GL and you have 5 on your Long type. Hope that helps.
