Watch this with young artists in your life! It’s so deep and inspiring to hear Nol’s perspective on art and life. Refreshingly grounding, relevant and beautiful!

Irwin used to say ver funny quotes like Early to bed and early to rise and your girl goes out with some other guys. I had many such quotes, but wife came and threw away my diary. Would like to have these quotes. Can you help, please

Re: Jasper Johns an Allegory of Painting 1955 - 1965 . Superb work by Jeffrey Weiss as curator and commentator. Beautiful job by Director of Photography Mathieu Mazza and crew entire... including sound and post production. Excellent video for fans or students of the art of Jasper Johns or viewers seeking to learn more about the artist. Well done.

Saw a piece of his in Arkansas, at the Crystal Bridges Museum in the NW corner of the state, perfect context and work. I was high on LSD too, pretty cool stuff. Cheers!

Play this video on mute and the truth of the substance, or lack thereof, reveals itself. The hogwash of a giant painted target is very apparent when one plays this video on mute.

Art was never in jeopardy. These types of artists use big words to fill the lack of visual substance. Jasper John is the highest paid painter using works that are not visually captivating.

I would like to tell you how wrong you are about Johns. But I suspect my comments would be wasted on you like Johns paintings are. So, lets just agree that Johns work is not for everyone and you choose to be not part of his audience. Too bad, it is your loss.

Yeah, but do you like his work? This video is a take on the work of Jasper Johns, with which you either agree or disagree (stay aware of the fact that Mr. Weiss has put far more thought into the subject than you or I). In what way is he wrong? Where, specifically, are these excuses? I'm not trying to be as sarcastic as these words imply, and I really want to know what there is about Jasper Johns that "sets your teeth on edge". I remember the first time I saw a photo of his work, in 1975, and I was captivated, as have I continued t o be. Let's talk, I really want to hear what you think.
