Can they get Luke more hidden? He is so talented so why hide him? He sings with them also. I love them but just move the guys toward the piano would even help.❤🙏
They are so great & glad to see Luke sing with them. He is a great piano & many instruments & they almost always hide him. Need to get the 3 other guys closer to the piano. ❤🙏
1. As I journey through this vale of sorrow The way seems so strange and unknown Lord, I need a helping hand to borrow For I cannot find the way alone Chorus: I cannot find the way without You Dear Lord, look down from Thy throne And make Thy light to shine around me For I cannot find the way alone 2. I have no other friend beside And I am so weak and undone Walk a little closer Lord beside me For I cannot find the way alone. 3. When the raging storms of life confound me Dear Lord, wilt Thou keep me Thine own? Let me feel Thy precious arms around me For I cannot find the way alone
Beautiful song! Thank you for sharing this! I love seeing videos of the Inspirations. I had the privilege to see them at the Ark Encounter two years ago and the concert was amazing!🤩
I can still hear my precious childhood pastor standing in the back row of the choir and throwing his head back and singing this beautiful song. He has been in heaven for a while now. I miss him.❤
This song was written by the Reverend Cleavant Derricks in the 1940’s, a Baptist pastor from Tennessee, and it gained popularity in the Southern Gospel world when it was recorded by the Inspirations Quartet in 1975 (and live on their “Nite of Inspiration” recording in 1976), featuring their very popular bass singer, Mike Holcomb, who stayed with the group over 40 years. Also in 1976, on their other live album that same year, the Inspirations recorded yet another Cleavant Derricks’ song, “When He Blessed my Soul.” Derricks was black, and the amazing thing about his music is how it still transcends so many musical genres, from Alison Krauss to the Gaither Vocal Band to the Inspirations, and then of course to the “new” Inspirations, with the young bass-singing Wyatt Austin continuing their amazing southern gospel legacy. But I think it is the power of the lyrics of this song that makes it powerful. Do you also know that “God took His pen of Love” and wrote the Gospel personally in your heart? Is it real enough to make you “laugh” and “cry” and to set your “soul on fire”? If anyone is not familiar with Cleavant Derricks, maybe you’ve heard of another one of his songs, “Just A Little Talk With Jesus”?
