Hello! I’m Dia, a photographer, planner fanatic & content creator living in San Diego. I love sharing my life journey with you to encourage and motivate you to live your most productive life!
Many people are not aware there are two different B6s. One is DIN B6 and one is the Japanese JIS B6. I've seen loads of people, for example in the Sterling Ink Facebook group, getting a SI planner or notebook and the getting a DIN B6 Cover which doesn't fit their B6 notebook/planner.
Have you seen the new “All in One” b6 and a6 wonderland222 planners!?! It’s literally what I have been dreaming of for years! I preordered the A6, I keep it in my “wallet” in my purse, lol, and I am dying waiting for it to get here! Ty for your video! I hope you have a great planner season and a nice new year! ♥️
I also have a bound notebook to just journal and empty my thoughts but my actual planning happen in my classic sized discbound planner. Loved the comparison and explanation!
The constant loss of focus made this incredibly hard to watch, aggravating. Is there a fixed-focus setting on your camera so that this doesn’t constantly happen?
Sorry about that! I normally have it on manual focus, but was trying to get this video recorded before my move, and didn't catch that. Thanks for trying to watch!
Great video! I also ordered this planner for next year. Btw, W222's B6 is of different size because they use international size. The Sterling Ink and Owl Paper both use the Japanese sizing, which is why it's compatible to any cover that will fit the Stalogy and other B6 notebooks made in Japan.
Thanks for the presentation, very nice. But I don't think the model that is featured on their website right now is the same. The leather seems stiffer and the lining is different. I don't think it's just a matter of photography. I would have bought the bag that you have but I'm concerned that I won't get the same design. Yours is truly awesome and exactly what I'm looking for. Would you kindly check their website if you have a few minutes and tell me what you think? 🙏... I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much 🌹
It definitely looks the same to me! The pictures look like the purse is pretty stuffed with paper, but if you look at the ones where the model is holding it, you can see that it is a bit floppy. I don't think they have made any changes. These are the same pictures I remember first seeing as well. I hope that helps, and I would love to know what you think about it if you end up purchasing it!
@@DiaMeraz Oh, thank you so much for taking the time! 🥰 Yes, I had the same thoughts after I wrote you, that the bag on the picture seemed stuffed & that it would be strange if they suddenly changed the model. I'm happy, then, to be able to order one, and sure, I will let you know! Thank you for the help! Take care and have a lovely weekend! 🌷
Thank you so much for sharing your planners. You have inspired me to try something new. I have been downsizing from A5 to B6 Slim and I try to incorporate family appointments and household projects and everything else imaginable but I would like to have a small one. Just the family and the little things that happen on a daily basis that seem like nothing but fill our lives in abundance. I love how you made the small one and it is simple. Not too much but just enough. I am also not one that uses stickers and pictures but I genuinely liked your approach. Just little things here and there that remind you of that day. I love it! Thank you ❤ I will try it and I know it will make me very happy 😊
Love your video! May I ask if the non-square grids bother you on the SI (or do you even notice it)? And, is it hard to write on the full year because it’s so thick? I’m trying to decide if I want to purchase a full year TN size this year but am worried about those things. Thanks for sharing your systems!
Thank you! I honestly don't even notice the non-square grids, and in the very beginning of the book it can be weird to write because the notebook is thick, but I usually slide another notebook under it to even it out. Hope that makes sense. Also, I use the B6, so I'm thinking that the thickness might affect a narrower book a little more. I hope that helps!
New follower and I’ve been binging all your videos! Im getting so many ideas for my planners and finally really using the daily pages in my cousin and common planners. Now I’m dying to know what you are using instead next year as journal! Gracie edits makes beautiful tabs and dividers! No association just love her product.
Thank you so much for following! Just received one of the planner today so I hope to start getting the videos out soon. Thanks for the recommendation too!
Oh what a nice surprise to come home to! Thank you for the review, glad you are loving your Ember Ring Planner! I love the flip! I’ve seen some of these inserts in person but seeing it on video is another level of appreciation on how put together your planner looks!
It is the Stag leather with a natural pocket (if I remember correctly) from Sojourner. I think this link will take you there: www.sojournerusa.net/products/sturdy-leather-5p9rr
I like the textured one more. Look at the stamp inside to see if they are the same. I have a Malden which is very textured and the stamp says vintage leather.
Hello and thank you for sharing. I have several Filofax maldens I purchased many years ago. The smell, texture and the overall feel has never changed. I thought about selling a few of them but I knew if I changed my mind, they could never be replaced.
Thanks for sharing, and DON'T sell them! I am such a minimalist, but I really regret not keeping some of my older leather planner covers because they are so unique and can never be replaced. You never know when you might want to use them again. My planner journey has changed so much throughout my life, and I'm kinda back to where I started again.
Texture on a leather cover unless it’s lower grade leather that’s been sanded and smoothed and even then with a natural, cow (or other hide) can be different. That can be the case even if you buy two from the same source. But it’s very possible that Filofax is sending their lower quality pieces to their Amazon storefront to sell at a discount and keeping their higher quality on their site.
No it's just luck. The past three deliveries was a disaster. I ordered from filofax an the planners looked awful - One of them was so damaged (lockwood zip) the rings wasn't attached to the leather anymore.
The silver box is for new Filofax, I received my Norfolk in the silver box. Is it possible to say what the quality control code is on each (under the strap).
I have purchased maldens from both amazon and filofax and have rec'd just as much texture from the filofax purchase. Also from filofax I have never rec'd the inserts wrapped in its own package they have always been inserted in the rings. Maybe this is new! I hadn't rec'd the grey box until this year. So not sure if this is something new, sounds like you are saying they have had this box in the past. I have never rec'd one as smooth as the black from filofax from either amazon or filofax. I will say the ring protector is suspect I have only ever rec'd the one like that in the one from filofax, both from amazon and filofax
I feel like I received the grey box many years ago when I first started purchasing Filofax. But then again, my Malden mini came in that box too. Either way, I feel very lucky to have come across the smooth one. I have seen them around, but this is the first time I have received one! TFW!
Wow, I will never buy a Filofax from Amazon that is for sure. What I think is really sad is that you spend a decent amount of money for these and yet once the rings go bad you’re screwed. That’s what keeps me going to VDS.
Although I’m not a Filofax fan and buy from other places there’s nothing wrong with buying a Filofax from Amazon. Other than getting one with gapped rings (which happens from Filofax directly too) the covers on Amazon are completely functional. And you can save quite a bit of money. It can make a cover affordable for some and sometimes you can get them very inexpensive. I’ve bought ones for $25 and they are perfectly functional and beautiful.
The one that I received from the Official Filofax website has tiny gaps 😣 The Amazon one was perfect. I am really happy with the smooth one though! I have seen that smooth leather, but this is the first time I actually got one from that kind of leather batch.
The Amazon store says it's Filofax's store, I think that's what throws me off. Are the they same planners and it's just another way of distributing their product? Maybe I should ask Filofax LOL!
Sterling Ink's 2025 Planners will have darker ink, dated dailies, and half-years!!!!!!!! So I'm guessing those changes will really get you excited to use it. Sure does me! I'll be trying out an A5 Common Planner, switching from the A5 Hobonichi Cousin Avc.
@@DiaMerazDia, the common planner with dated dailies won’t have weeklies so if those are important to you… you’ll have to keep dating your dailies I’m afraid.
@@VidaLiterati You just verified what I had to research. I need weeklies as much as I need those daily pages, so I will date them myself. No matter what, I just can’t have it all, LOL. I’m leaving Hobonichi in 2025 for this common planner/Sterling ink because I am so excited for a cleaner more minimalist experience. I’m done with all the quotes on the bottom of all my daily Hobo pages.
@@BohemiAnnA I don’t mind the quotes but A5 is too big for me and A6 is a bit tight and I have to condense my thoughts too much. As someone with AuDHD, I need space to jot down my thoughts and make lists without being overwhelmingly huge so the B6 is my sweet spot
