Gorgeous car, with original upholstery (rare) ❤ I haven't seen very many cars from this era; so I was happy to hear about the changes between 1937 and 1938. Thank you so much for sharing! 👍😊 ("Opera coupe" sounds a lot classier than salesman's coupe -- Great sales gimmick,. Although I think that the base level Buick was probably more expensive than base model chevy.)
I am a Chevy guy and love these restored cars but i can not help noticing how many of them have one VERY BIG DETAIL missing on a lot of these cars that was done at the factory. Black paint behind the grill no matter the color chosen of the cars exterior. The black one gets a pass muster.
My 69 roadrunner was the Bahama yellow with silver and black interior. I bought it in 1974. 1 owner and it was beautiful. I'm still kicking my ass for ever selling it.
That stance is impressive by modern standards. Not buying that engine in the silver car makes anything close 650 wheel hp though, in fact I really doubt it makes 400 whp. That is LT6 power with OHV and less displacement with fairly tame cam by the sound of it. That take 5.5L 4 valves and a bigger bore plus reeving to 8500 and beyond. The race hemi of the day, the one used on race day did not break 600 gross hp. The Ford cammer only made ~660hp gross.
When I was a young boy my neighbor had a 1970 Mach 1 Red over Black. I loved watching him idle down the street with that loping Cam & that killer exhaust note.
Man your the luckiest, I miss my old Vegas,my mom had a 75 GT she bought brand new, they had their engine issues but they still remain one of my favorite cars and they had the best 4 speed manual ever made!
Had a '73 Caprice Classic. Build quality of a high school shop project. Crappy vacuum HVAC, electrics failed, emissions nightmare, topped off with loads of rust
Those 1968 Hemi 302cid Camaros Smokey built for the TransAm racing series have more innovation than DARPA and Sandia Lab combined... First n/a engine to make over 2 hp per cubic inch!
If GM would have built and sold these cars they would have been more popular and sold more of them. it is supposed to be fuel efficient to compete with other car manufacturers .but in the end it went down in history as a flop because of the engine they used.
I'm waiting to see the third part to when they finish this car, your going to tell me it's going to stay this way? This is considered an awesome car? It's not even finished, an almost done car isn't called a finished car but a halfway job. What you have here is a rat rod, rat rods are never finished.
Now, if they could’ve built this in the real bug, not this ugly green thing with a real manual transmission. They wouldn’t be able to keep up with the orders
