It is not the purpose of this channel to present "the" way to do anything, but rather to use simple logic and experience to try to help others who might be looking for answers. It does not always offer direct answers to certain questions, but instead humbly seeks to show a road one might take to find the answers they need for themselves.
Oh man that sucks... You should try and get another one. I see them all the time on Facebook market place for very little money... Get on while they are available!! Thank you for watching & stay in touch.
Sig p226 and Beretta m9a4 are my fovorire pistols. Check out sig p320 Axg, all metal frame , fits hand well and striker fired. I would say recoil is slightly better than p226
Thanks, I will. Mine is the Legion series and is all metal frame also. I don't own a Beretta yet but been eyeing one lately.. Thanks for watching and stay in touch.😀
You ain't kidding... It's been a nightmare! I can't believe that Jeep would put a car out like that. I went over all the bolts I could get to and stopped the oil leaking for awhile... It's leaking again somewhere else. Thanks for watching & stay in touch.

@@deansmith9232 thank you 🙏 for the great compliment and for watching the video. I was a performing artist for many years, but standing in front of a camera and talking is still a challenge for me. Thank you again for watching.
@@TheChristonline I am using a holster that I found on Amazon. Where I live I’m a little bit limited to holster options. I’m actually now looking for one that I could keep my light on my gun. But I will leave a link to my holster on here. Thank you for watching. a.co/d/fZp8mOT
Thank you for watching. Paul Harrell was a great influence in my firearm world. I’ve been watching his two channels since around 2014 or so. We were also very close in age so being in the similar mindset, made his channel very appealing to me as a firearm, 2A enthusiast. I’m hoping to also be able to make a difference with my RU-vid channel and even if it helps at least one person my mission is accomplished. Thank you again for watching and please stay in touch.
@@freeridemoto7133 Paul’s first name was Benjamin and it’s the way it was listed on his obituary, so I thought it was appropriate. Thank you for watching. www.burnsmortuary.com/obituary/Benjamin-Harrell
well we have built for my our families a retreat. This so that our families in our mag have a safer area.. we have setup it now... we all have jobs if shtf.. There is a camp kitchen cabins,,, main house ... water and sewage... I also totally agree with learning your supplements from plants IE Mullen etc... Canning... gardens .... food storage ... reloading... The other is maybe we can't run but still can walk... still can watch a gate, do radio watch, weed gardens or drive a truck...

@@FerreiraHomestead I just think a man should carry a wallet in the back pocket… do you get that white square wallet imprint on your back pocket on jeans?
@@tommysimmons5266 thanks for your input Tommy. Definitely gives you a lot more support when shooting. I do it sometimes especially on horseback, but I was just plinking around. I also need to break in that sling a little bit more it’s brand new and pretty stiff still. Thank you for watching and stay in touch.
That's a fact. I did mention that in the video. Also work on your health and diet to try and reduce the amount of meds you may need! Thank you for watching.
I am 57, the wife is 61 and we recently moved to a relatively remote area in Alaska. We have been preparing for lifes challenges for years and the move was a part of that. With fewer neighbors there are fewer potential threats in an shtf. The distance from populated areas is a fair safety barrier from others. Firearms, archery, gardens, livestock, hunting, and food preservation are just daily activities.
Hello Peter. Thank you for watching. I also moved away from Connecticut to a very small town of 700 population in the middle of thousands of acres of corn fields in southern Indiana. I would love Alaska as I am also a hunting and outdoors man, but I don't know if the wife could handle it although she's been talking about Wyoming... Be safe.
I'm in a very similar situation but it's my special needs brother who lives with me and then my elderly mom. I would never separate them from each other.
@@6Anon6ymous6 they are definitely great firearms and very reliable when they work well. You can still find them and they are very reasonably priced. Thank you for watching.
@@FerreiraHomestead yes sir my shotgun was a very reliable one and I didn't know that I haven't looked at any Ivers in a while thanks for the tip and yes sir ur welcome 🫡
Morning Pedro. I just came across your channel. What caught my attention is you addressed seniors. I’m 2weeks from 75 yo and you hit some absolute issues due to age. You are on point with the loss of physical abilities. But my desire is to do what you safely can until you can’t.
@@patriotpop2436 thank you for watching. I think it’s important to remind the younger crowd, not to underestimate us as we get older and at the same time it’s important for the older seasoned citizens like us to use the knowledge that we have and prepare just in case. I am a bit younger than you at 54 but more and more seeing that. I need to really be prepared as time goes by fast!
I have a feeling that a lot of senior people who are aware of things, will realize that they’re not gonna live very long, so they’ll probably want to do what they can to strike back at whatever causes the SHTF situation. I mean if you’re gonna die, anyway, you might as well make your life count, right?
Born, raised, and still residing in Indiana. Welcome to freedom. It's a shame that states like Connecticut completely ignore the constitution, particularly the Second Amendment.
Thank you! I am still adjusting to southern Indiana... Having a hard time finding places and people to go hunting... but I'll give it time. Thanks for watching and stay in touch.
Thanks for this Pedro, I'm 64 been seeing this time coming from 1980...I know I'm useful being a medic for 25 years, having preps f all manner, fully conversant with most firearms, know how to make and fix, consider myself a crack shot with rifle and pistol, knowledge in bushcraft and survival in all weathers, can know how to get bushfoods in most environments, a hunter and tracker, a great cook, know how to homestead, have knowledge on farming, bush medicines in many environments, how to evade and conceal, how to trap, metal worker welder, and have ability to survey a large area without detection both night and day. I am conversant with general military tactics.. not bad for an old fart. but I do not have a group that is any where near ready for what may unfold, only those that know it might, but have not made ready.. too bad I'm not in the US as I might have joined your merry band cheers !!
@@sergiozammel8261 thank you for watching. Seems that you are well-versed and prepared. unfortunately, I am somewhat in the same boat as you as it is very difficult to find like-minded people who actually have the time or want to join a group or grow a community of like minded people. On the other hand, I have my wife and my three boys are on board with everything we do and also prepare. My boys all know how to shoot a firearm as I educated and used to take them to the local range from a very young age. Now we have our very own private range here at the Homestead so we get to shoot often. Thank you again for watching the video. Keep in touch.
@@FerreiraHomestead Yes thank you for the significant reply Pedro. I don't want to gab on too much as it is not a place to say too much. But I'd like to say that many prepare for a certain SHTF instead of the bigger picture. It can be local and short lived like a big storm, or long lived and wide spread like WW3.. In any case I try to take into account my preparedness for come what may. I think it is well to say others should follow along with this premise. There are a great many people out there who put a lot of onus on firearms and some military manoeuvres above all else. whilst these are important, I have prided myself so far in never taking another human life. > I hope in my heart of hearts that it remains that way as I have spent a quarter century on saving them. Not withstanding I have no illusions that I may find myself in the situation where I am not given much choice in the matter, and I will leave you to ponder on my reactions. In my country it is now very difficult to have firearms and much red tape and jibber jabber to throw off the throng. So for me I have to be very resourceful in my protection area, but beware the old man with much wisdom and know > how. It pains me to think of how many may loose their lives unnecessarily to gun violence when it would have been much better to work WITH other survivors instead of against them. I have said enough for now and thanks for having me here Pedro. I will keep watch.
@@sergiozammel8261 Thank you! I am thinking of doing some live videos in the near future. Maybe we could gather a few of us and exchange ideas... Be safe and healthy friend.
@@FerreiraHomestead Hi again Pedro. I am willing to share some of the things that I have learned over the years. Yes let me know what you have in mind, and I will try help out where required. Cheers !
The term "preppers" will eventually disappear and become just a regular person because it is actually the normal state of being not unusual in any respect. Great video, I win! 64 You have a friend in Pennsylvania.
@@johnleca a well-deserved win John! You are absolutely right. The prepper state of mind is nothing new as you said and it’s something our grandparents, great grandparents and ancestors did naturally. Unfortunately, it has almost been lost with new generations, but I think it’s making a big comeback and will become a very normal thing in the future. I am seeing a lot of younger generations, looking for us, the older crowd, for experience and realizing they must learn these things before it’s too late. Thank you for watching… you also have a friend in southern Indiana.
An adult will need to put back about 750 lbs of food per person per year. Canned goods , canned meats and dried veggies ( beans rice lentils flour etc ). 356 gallons of water JUST TO DRINK
Brought him back to a kid that smile lol my friend just one uped me and got one and he knows I love my old school deadly he also has better paying job lol can't afford 998.00 +35+50 lol
I have the same gun, but I find it a bit heavy, so I usually carry an SP-101 in .357 while in the woods. I carry a S&W Shield in 9mm where human predators are located. All your selection in firearms you named, I own and carry as well! Great choices and thank you for sharing even at 7 years later. I hope you and your family are well these days. Things have change in our country with Biden allowing terrorists into the country, so I will revisit my choices! God Bless!😊
Thank you for watching. This video was made sometime back but it all applies even more today. We are living in a crazy world, crazy times. I have since moved away from the Glocks and have been carrying a Sig P226 Legion for a few years. I no longer live in Connecticut, we moved our homestead to Indiana. A little safer out here!
Thanks for watching. I carry it IWB in the 4 o’clock position. I feel pretty comfortable with it no issues. I used to be a Glock fan but really really loved my Sig P226. I’ll make a quick video about it.
Bill, I’m sorry I just saw this. The video is pretty old but I remember looking on Google maps to find it. There’s I believe either a restaurant or a bar right on the beach and the barge doesn’t sit very far out. a lot of people swim there. If you look on Google Earth, you will see it.
Thank you for watching. I agree with you… my video was filmed in my office/gun vault. That room is a vault that is independently secured with an alarm, video camera and also the house has an ADT alarm that is connected to the sheriffs department. My house is also equipped with alarmed video surveillance all around the property. I work out of my house and if I travel, all my guns go in gun safes inside of the gun vault. I have taken quite a few measures to make sure it’s all kept safe. Did I mention the dogs? 🐶 thank you for watching. I appreciate your support, don’t forget to subscribe.
