This is actually "Dulce de Leche", the Hispanic version of caramel. Traditional caramel usually has butter added or a higher ratio of cream. Dulce de Leche has a higher ratio of sugar but it's lower fat. Personally I like Dulce de Leche better. I find the fat and sweet mix of traditional caramel too heavy and sickly.
Save money by putting it into a crockpot on high for 8-10 hours. Take off the label and turn the can on its side to make sure it's submerged. Make sure to use SWEETENED condensed milk. Enjoy!
Found this hack years ago. I don't use the pop off cans.. I've had a few explode due to pressure and it was caramel everywhere. The key is to keep water and watch the pop. Do not over boil lol 😆.. but it taste great and pretty simple
Great tutorial thanks. Does your headband have teeth? I want to buy some plain headbands and try this but a lot of bands have those little teeth for grip.
