ATTA is the project of Colombian musician Víctor Santafé, for its debut album Ultima Sagitta more than 120+ artists participated. Orchestra, Choir, Folk and Unconventional instruments make this, one of the most ambitious rock albums ever recorded.
This seems like a really great method, thank you for figuring this out and for the custom actions! I frequently need to do this while having multiple tracks rather than one single track. (My main use case is music with frequently changing odd time signatures, so would use the K shortcut extensively ;-). Will this method work with multiple tracks and is there anything special to consider? Would love to try it out. BTW meanwhile we're at Reaper 7 so the custom action import is slightly different - but I assume everything else is still valid.
As what is being changed is the tempo map and not the tracks themselves, as long as all the track's timebase is set to "Time" you can do the process on a single track and the tempo map will change for all of them. If you want all the tracks to obey to new tempo changes, they need to be set back to timebase: "project timebase" or "beats", and the audio have to be split every measure.
@@ATTAproject gotcha, super! Thanks for the quick reply :-). I suppose I would set the timebase to Time globally in Project Settings, and then I can use your method on just one track, and the other tracks with "obey". I wouldn't typically do the "quantize" thing afterwards, so I think I would typically heal the splits after I'm done (not really necessary but cleaner look for subsequent editing)
I would be proud to reproduce this incredible instrumental and you predominated in the vocals, high and soft... you are one of the people who motivates me to study all the instruments and one day I will get there... this video has to reach Arjen Lucassen
