People are calling for Micah to be a full time linebacker and yes he is best there. But who is going to replace him at DE? We had Sam Williams but unfortunately he’s done for the year. Chauncey gholston as ur DE2 is not a recipe for success
Donovan Wilson isnt making right fits.... and Overshown is reacting to slow and washing out consistantly.... I agree with this guy though---strong safety has to be way better in this scheme
The difference is that Quinns defense was more about hustle and less about thinking, and zimmers defense is about using both. These players are confused and thinking too much, so they are playing hero ball and losing containment.
Micah 1st play D law 2nd play Bell 3rd play Micah again 😂 4th Man I stop counting 🤦🏾♂️ Bottom Line defense is not playing their reads and playing soft Not even going to start with this offense 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄😮💨
This is what happens when you get a defensive coordinator in Quinn that plays the run second . Along comes Zimmer and he’s trying to implement stopping the run first and no one is playing sound assignment because all they are worrying about it getting a sack. I said this last season and I will say it again. There’s too many “I” and “me” on this team. Not enough “we” and “us”.
They haven’t been able to stop the run consistently for years. This is already an established problem. They are soft and undisciplined. They are only good with a lead.
Great breakdown and pointing out youth and new scheme. Same with our O.L. from C to the left covering 2 rookies and Steele and Martin isn't exactly killing it. Mazi looks more consistent in the 4th quarter on his snaps.
Trash run D but akso trash seconary, of we stack the box theyll throw all over us. Just a bad team as we have a few superstars and then a tonne of below par players
dallas cowgirls are front runners. They have always been front runners. They can never stop the run. They just want to pass rush. Micah is overrated, he get a bunch of publicity because he plays for dallas but he isn't even a top 5 pass rusher.
Ain't nothing wrong with Dallas defense they just haven't played Carolina,Indy,,Washington teams like that who r not good, they look bad right now cuz they have played real teams😅
I disagree i saw DLaw constantly crashing down when he should be setting the edge stop peeping inside and stay in the proper run fit to force the read option to make a decision and then smack their ass dlaw jumping into a gap creates outside open yards with no one to even get in the way of the runner donavan wilson and kendricks constantly getting washed because they keep going in the wrong gaps its pathetic and some of them need piss tests because they are playing as if on drugs!
The Jones's are the issue. Everyone is their own company, and they really only care about whats good for them. Dlaws company needs to make plays, Micah's company needs to make plays, on down the line. Setting the edge and letting someone else make a play is not good for your company. Crashing down the line and making the play is good for your company. Guessing the play and shooting the gap and making a tackle for loss, is better than filling 100x and not making a tackle. Keeping your eyes in the backfield and jumping a route is more important than making a tackle or breaking up a pass. The Jones's encourage this, they want you on ESPN making a splash play, selling jerseys, building a brand you can capitalize on, and in turn they can as well. They are 26m under the cap, spent almost 700m less than the top teams in the NFL over the last 10 yrs. Meanwhile they make more money, by far than any other team, their team is the most valuable sports team on earth. The Cowboys cant correct shit as long as they have owners that only care about making as much money as is possible. Encouraging everyone to be a businessman and build a brand. Winning 11 games is the sweet spot for them. They dont have to spend the extra 40 or 50m a year to compete for a SB, but everyone talks about them as SB contenders.
The amount of veteran players who were fooled by the play or just simply took the wrong paths to stop the play in front of them! Undisciplined hero tactics by players who should know better added to the other team coming ready to play! Sound familiar? Add that to an offensive scheme of running into a pile of players! If the fish is spoiled, it started at the head! Coach that is!
He’s talking about rookie corner but what about Diggs. He gave up the winning catch and will not attempt to make a tackle. At least Carson is giving effort.
The Cowboys’ flaws are clear-poor gap discipline, missed tackles, and a lack of third-down effectiveness. They must assign a spy for mobile quarterbacks like LAMARA. When facing pocket passers like Derek Carr, they need to press the receivers at the line of scrimmage to disrupt his rhythm and force him to hold the ball Longer. Also use zone blitz with 5 at the line scrimmage but dropping two back after snap to confuse Carr read after the snap , and always blitzing through the A-gap, LOOK at Kansas City and Buffalo games against ravens and Carr , it will keep Carr from stepping forward to throw and if it’s mobile QB just contain him and force him to beat you with his arm
One of the main issues was the lack of a spy on Lamar, which should have been Micah's job. That would have contained Lamar's runs. The Cowboys also should've gone with a zone blitz, stacking five defenders up front to fake an all-out blitz, but having Micah and another edge rusher drop back into zone coverage. Lamar wouldn't know who was coming for him. Another problem was the edge rushers overcommitting, crashing the pocket too aggressively. They blitzed too much. The key is to contain Lamar in the pocket, using a staggered rush rather than an aggressive one. Make him throw from the pocket. Running a Cover 2 zone, with deep safeties and short zone corners, would've kept big plays in check and eyes on Lamar too. See LAMAR throwing mechanics sometimes break down under pressure, I’ve noticed time and again , Teams that force him to remain in the pocket and take away his first read often expose this inconsistency. His weakness also is parameter throws , and his completion percentage drops when asked to hit receivers on deep, sideline routes or make tight-window throws outside the numbers. He struggles also against zone defenses , but he loves when he sees man coverage. Also disguised zone coverages throws off his rhythm, if you take away his primary target like his tight end , he hesitates . If you also watch Kansas City chiefs or buffalo game you can see both teams beat him when they keep him in the pocket and collapse the pocket through the center instead. And during 3 rd down he relies heavily on his tight end, double team him and he’s sitting duck
Two years ago, due to injury that kept him out part of last year, Wilson was one guy who popped off the screen. Doesn't make much sense that all of a sudden, he looks like a completely different player. He either doesn't understand the defense being run or he's lost a step after injury.
Parsons been really good?😂 no no no been terrible, doesn't stick his nose in the trenches, maybe scared of getting hurt?? Money on his mind maybe? Should ignore the pulling lineman and played it like the triple option without a pitch man! its so simple #11 only playing hard half the time! On defense you need 11 people flying to the ball and pissed when they get there !! Its an effort issue, will over skill everyday....look around the league best d ends are the ones with the big motor and micha isn't one of them 😢😢😢
What y’all don’t understand he chose to be a de because his family is poor and he chose to get paid as a de so he has to play a certain amount of plays as a de
Parsons is overrated, you showed the tape. It looks as if he is weak, doesn’t do his job and he surely doesn’t study film based on his reactions on the plays.
Zimmer defensive scheme is terrible. Do they even blitz anymore? Micah needs to be put back to LB especially since we have all this depth at DE. Also, need to keep Overshown in as many plays as possible. He’s way more physical than Damone Clark who just sits instead of plugging holes.
We have a Weakest graded D line in NFL. We got weak O line, our RBs are weak. We got a weak culture, our coaches have no authority Jones is coach without title and we aren’t going have a good or bad record another famous Cowboys 8-8 season. 30 years and not even a NFC championship only the Cowboys and Commanders haven’t been to a NFC championship in last 30 + years.
